Valley Health System Hospital
I was very happy with my surgeon. He was extremely patient and interested and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Yatco was concerned when my blood level dropped and made sure I got a transfusion right away to raise my blood levels. He was honest about the worst case scenario and reassured me that no matter what it was fixable and not to panic.

Dr. Yatco was extremely professional and very interested in what I had to say. He adressed all of my concerns. I never felt rushed. rnThe office staff is just incredible. rnOn the day of my surgery, he was there to make sure that all my questions were answered. His concern for my well being was very apparent. He took his time and made sure that I was calm and ready. The aftercare was very professional. rnI would rate him as a perfect 10!! His surgical competence and bedside manner are fabulous. I feel lucky to have had him as my surgeon.
Professional, certainly has a very good bedside manner, LISTENS!, very patient! Excellent reputation and staff.rn****Surgical scars are so minimal-they look great!****
I met with Dr. Yatco yesterday and found him to be a very knowledgeable Doctor. He made sure that I understood excatly what procedure I wanted and discussed the two I considered and described in full the one I had decided on. He was not pushy with my decision and made sure that I had no questions when I left.rnrnThe office is very busy but I LOVE Dr. Yatco. My wife is planning to see him Nov 17th for her consult. He is friendly caring and easy to get along with.
I found Dr. Yatco to be a great person. He answered all of my questions. He has a great bedside manner, and I could not have asked for the surgery to have gone better. His office staff seems to be over loaded with work. They seem to be very good at what they do, but you must stay in touch with them and keep copys on all tests. I called weekly for an update if I had and tests done or not. The office staff all so handled all the approvels from the insurance company.
I realized how great Meredith was when after meeting with my surgeon I went down to the cafeteria with my family to get something to eat. After scarffing down a hot dog, I bought a regular ginger ale. I saw her and went up to her and she said Kayisha, what did I tell you about regular 32oz sodas. I completely forgot that I had to multiply the sugar content x3-whew! After that, she had me right on track.
Dr. Yatco operated on my father December 2004. His office staff is very nice and helpful. The seminar that is required prior to the first appt was very informative. My first visit covered everything I wanted to know. I met with Sophie the PA first and she spent a considerable amount of time explaining everything, the risks, the benefits, and what to expect during the entire process. Then I met with Dr. Yatco. He is a very nice person that I felt at ease with. I felt very comfortable to discuss any of my concerns.
When I first met Dr. Yatco, I immediately was comfortable with him. I originally went infor a consult on the lapband, but after he explained the differences and what would be best for me I decided to have RNY. He took his time on the first visit to answer all my questions. I didn't feel rushed at all, he took all the time needed in order to help me make the best decision for me. Dr. Yatco is awesome and I would recommend him highly!!!
My first impression of Dr. Yatco was a good one. He was friendly, not very talkative but has a "calming" presence.
The office staff at Valhalla is good. They seem to be very knowledgeable and prompt to answer any questions.
During my visit, the procedure (and complete lifestyle change, as a whole) was thoroughly discussed. Dr. Yatco was quick to "fill in the blanks" when I had questions or info re: the procedure.
Since I've only had an initial visit , I cannot rate him or his office fairly.
As a healthcare provider myself, I feel it's best to have both competence and a good bedside manner.
