Temple University Hospital Hospital
Five Stars to the best dawn surgeon in the world. Dr Tatyan Clarke with Temple Hospital did an awesome thing of giving me my life back.
I only had two complaints to name. One I was told that there was a special waiting area for family members of WLS patients. This is not true. They had to wait in the same waiting room during my entire surgery as all the patients who were waiting to have outpatient surgeries. This was not a comfortable waiting room at all, and was not in the vicinity of either the operating room or the 9th floor WLS patient rooms.
The other issue I had revolved around pain control immediately after I came out of the general anesthesia. I was told before the surgery that I would be given a substantial amount of pain medicine before I was woken up to prevent waking up in severe pain. However, I was woken up and had to wait for at least half an hour in excruciating pain before they gave me pain medication other than the personal timed pump, even though I begged for something else until that kicked in.
