St Joseph's health center Hospital
I loved St Joseph's. All of the nurses were excellent and very attentive. The only thing I had a problem with which was my fault was my IV. I'm sure those of you who have been there probably had Dr. Salib as your anesthesiologist and he's a very determined man. He had a very hard time getting the IVs in and didn't want to do a central line. He managed to do it, but my alarm kept going off because of the awkward way it was in. I was too tired anyway to really care though. I had an excellent experience. Even when I kinda vomited like 5 times, none of the nurses made me feel bad about doing it, and by time I came out the bathroom I had new linens and everything.
this hospital has it's own wls floor. it is considered an imcu. i had a private room both times i had to stay. the staff washed their hands entering AND leaving the room. since it was intermediate care you were always being checked on so it was a little noisy and not too restful. but ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!! PS.. DR WOODRUFF AND DR VANEK ARE OUTSTANDING GENTLEMEN AND DOCTORS!!
This hospital nursing staff is absolutely wonderful. I wanted a private room and about 2 hours after my surgery one opened up and they moved me right in. The room was great and it was so quiet. I actually got a few hours of sleep each night. I would go back to this hospital for all of my needs and my familes. Have told everyone to go there if they need it. Couldn't do this of course, but this hospital has like a cafateria open 24 hours if you are hungry and you order and they bring it to your room. They kept me far enough away that I never once smelled food from the other patients.
