Dr. Gail Wynn is wonderful, straight forward, warm and makes you feel VERY comfortable from the start.rnrnShe addressed the pro's and cons of both the gastric bypass and the lap band without bias to either one!rnrnShe knows her STUFF!!!rnrnThe office is very accomadating for overweight people in regards to seating, and her staff is wonderful too!rnrnOverall I would say Dr. Wynn is EXCELLENT, and nothing short of this.rnrnDr. Isaias Irgau (pronounced EARGOW) is EXCELLENT, he and Dr. Wynn both performed my surgery as Dr. Wynn was pregnant at the time :-). rnrnI've been doing my follow up care with him from 2 months after my surgery to present and he is what a model Doctor/Surgeon should aspire to be. rnrnHe is thorough with his decisions and his bedside manner is beyond wonderful.

He was very nice, easy on the eyes and very compasionate. My impression pretty much stayed the same. the office staff is friendly but I had major problems with whether they accepted my bcbsppo or not. my first appt they said we have bad news, we are in dispute or negotiations with bcbs about money and will be done with bcbs so sorry, out of pocket is 8000. I left depressed because I waited a month for the consultation then had it then was told about my ins. then a week later I called back and they said we are accepting bcbs til dec 15th. So I ran around like a mad women getting all my appts. done. then several times the office called me and said they werent taking my ins. and I had to tell them to get together cause they were til the 15th this was very stressful....in the end I had the surgery dec 5th and they take my insurance even now.Dr peters requires nutrition classes and makes sure you have a full understanding of the commitment of rny. He discussed the complications and explained what most of his pts have had,and he also discussed its much safer these days and what the improvements are over previous years. I think Dr Peters is excellent.Surgical competence means more, skill of the surgeon but if the doctor has lousy bedside manner then I would contact another dr. til I found both...Dr Peters and Dr Iragau have both

My first impression of Dr. Peters was they he was very professional and cared about his patients. My impression from the pre-surgery to post surgery hasn't changed except that I still think he is a good surgeon. His office staff is is caring, well mannered and very professional. Every thing I have to say about Dr. Peters is positive. If I had any negative thoughts, I would have not kept him as a surgeon. He keeps your informed during and after surgery. When he sees you in the hospital he stops and talks to you to make sure everything is okay and do you need his help. He highly stresses the importance of proper aftercare. All risks of surgery were brought out in the open on several visits. You did not go into surgery blindfolded. Dr. Peters overall rating is A+++. His surgical competence and beside manner are great. I would recommend him to others.

First and foremost, I would like to thank GOD for allowing Dr. Irgau to display such a blessed and kind spirit. This man is such a wonderful person not only as a Surgeon but a friend. I don't know of anyone, who would spend most of their time on assisting, assuring and seeing that people of Obesity get a chance to live a healthier life. GOD bless his wife and his children for being his biggest supporters with unconditional and great understanding. rnrnThat's was my first impression of him back in 12/2004 and still to this day. He listens to everything you say and is very supportive to whatever decision that you make best for you.rnrnHe's a professional at all times and I was happy to see him in the OR on my surgery date. He greeted me with assurance of the surgery and smiled telling me that I wont regret doing it and living a healthier life. He strongly advise that I follow his rules of having the Lapband and Post- op procedures and I will be successful.rnrnHis office staff has always been professional and warm greetings that does not make you feel alone. I do know that some of his staff has had the WLS and they look beautiful. rnrnAll in all, I trust that I made great choice in CHRIAS to assist me with me living a healthy life and in longetivity.

My first impression of Dr. Irgau was WOW! He really knows his stuff! Reassuring and competent, he helped me and my best friend to understand every aspect of both surgeries. My friend was the real skeptic, since I had already researched the topic and had been attending support group meetings for months. Dr. Irgau just had a wonderful understanding of my experience as a morbidly obese individual and how painful my life was!! He was very explicit about the pros and cons and explained how to avoid them. The office staff was and is very helpful (but the store closes at 5pm). I would have liked to have had more direction in appt. making and the overall set-up to be ready and approved for surgery, since it ended up taking me almost a year and a half. It is left up to you, the patient to do all the work and then, when I was almost ready for surgery, my surgeon had a problem with my insurance co. and wasn't accepting it for more than 3 months! So far, I have had one follow-up appt. with Dr.Irgau (at two weeks) and my next appt. is at six weeks (next Thursday). The support group meetings with St. Francis Hospital are held right next door to Dr. Irgau's office and I have been to two of them since my surgery. The next one is Sept. 11th. The staff is great!! They always have time for questions and are very supportive. (I know you want to hear negatives, sorry!) If I had to say one thing that could be improved, it would have to be that there could be more structure to the rnprogram leading up to surgery and also the aftercare program. I am not required to attend support group meetings (aftercare) and I'm sure that I could avoid them if I wanted to. I would say that surgical competence and bedside manner are both great and equally important. I would rate my surgeon among the very best!

Dr. Irgau has been nothing but positive & compassionate. He listens to your concerns, answers ALL of your questions and takes his time with you. These are great qualities for a doctor today. I went to my inital meeting with him and had a journal of 40 questions, he sat with me and answered ALL of them before we even got to the exam! The office staff was very helpful, knowledgeable and warm to me on all my visits-they know their stuff!

My first impression of Dr. Peters was very friendly, well knowledged about both procedures. He wanted a few more thing done, we had a very long extensive talk about the procedure, so I needed to make up my mind. Dr. Peters wasn't pressuring me about anything, he was a great listener, and understood my feeling and wanted to help me.rnrnMy impression never changed over time at all.rnrnDr. Peters office staff was very professional always, even way before my surgery, all my questions were answered by his office manager. Awesome friendly folks.... rnrnrnrnrn

Dr Irgau is a very kind, gentle and caring Dr. He seems very compasionate. I think his staff is very helpful most of the time. Sometimes it has been hard to get in and I have waited over an hour in the waiting room. But it is worth the wait. I would recommend him to anyone who is thinking about having surgery. He was very through in his examination and explaination of my surgery. He answered all our questions graciously. Overall I have been pleased with my Dr !

Dr. Irgau has always been a straight-forward type of surgeon. I appreciate this very much. He made me very comfortable not only at our initial meeting but the morning of surgery, also. He is extremely busy so I have seen another surgeon in the office for my 3 mo. post-op appointment but I knew this ahead of time and was ok with it.rnrnHe initially had me leaning towards LAP band but when I got home and thought about it I knew RNY was the way I had to go to be successful. I would've \"cheated\" with the LAP band whereas, I cannot with the RNY. He was fine with my choice.rnrnI went through St. Francis Hospital and had a wonderful experience both pre and post-op.
