My first impression on Dr. Irgau was that he was a very nice man. I first met Dr. I when he was working at Christiana Care as a resident. Then when I went to his office in 2005 and even up to this present time, he has always been pleasant.rnI have never had a problem with his office staff and they are always willing to help.rnThe staff has taken care of everything even all of my insurance needs. Dr I is so pleasant and answered every question I had when I went to my post opp visit.Even after I told him why I changed my mind about the lap band surgery, he told me he thought I was an excellent candidate for Gastric bypass.

My first impression was that he had good bed side manner and wanted me to be successful. My impression never really changed, to this day he is awesome. The office staff is great, I see them deal with a great deal of stress based on the number of patients and I applaud them. Any future patients I would only say any surgeon in the office is great and you can't go wrong. My aftercare has been great, I get asked first and for most how am I and is there anything he can do. I went to a seminar first and most of my questions were answered but before surgery he went over everything again. I would rate Dr. Irgau as a 10, he is great and good at what he does. He has great surgical competence and great bedside manner. The little questions get answered as quickly as the big ones. The only negetative thing I could say would be that you have to be willing to wait in the office, wait time could be up to 2 hours, but it gives you a chance to chat with others and is a great support option.

I really dont know what to say. I meet with Dr. Isaias Irgau he took the time to explaine to me my options. I heard that he is one of the best in the state of Delaware. I didnt feel like I was rushed in my 1st interview with him. He explained the risks of surgery and what to expect afterwards. All I know is that I cant wait to get a date.

Dr.Peter's is amazing, I went to his seminar and was impressed from the moment he began speaking...he also did my surgery consult and I absolutly love him and my team...the whole approach that is used at Chritiana where Im having my surgery is amazing...the whole program itself has come a long way and I feel completely ready and blessed on how things have worked out so far...every question is answered and someone is always there to support you...it's not a fly in and out place and then your on your own...the follow up care is incrediable and I know Im in great hands for sure...not to mention he is the head of surgery so that makes me even more comfortable...He is completely honest and straight to the point and I have heard nothing but amazing things about him from his other patients...I would recomend him to anyone...

Dr. Wynn was the best. her staff was very helpful. i tell everyone i know who ask about WLS if they want someone who knows what they are doing and has a very high success record with this type of surgery to go to her. i live 1 and 1/2 hours away from her office but she is worth the drive.

^ yrs later and I haven't had any trouble with the surgery. I did gain some weight back due to my nerves and personnel problems I'm going through. I'm going to see if I can get the rose procedure to tighten up my pouch.Wish me luck if my ins will help pay.rnrnBeth

I and my support person met Dr. Irgau 2/2009. I was nervous about this decision, but ready for a life change. When we met him I immediately felt so comfortable. I just felt that he knew exactly what to do for me. I had some medical concerns in reference to blood, but he assured us what would be the best route for me to take. The staff there and at PMRI have been wonderful, everything went so smoothly with all the pre-testing and classes. The classes really emphasized how to make better food choices and most of all what I would need to do to make this a success, also aftercare has been stressed by every specialist that I saw. I have yet to attend the support groups but that my goal in the coming week to start those. My surgery date is May 6th for the Lap Band Im not really nervous only about the unforseen, but as far as Dr. Iragau competence I am completely at ease. I will come back and update this after surgery...but so far so good.....

My first impression of Dr. Irgau was one of complete confidence and friendliness. He was very knowledgable about everything and made me feel very comfortable about surgery. The office staff is also very friendly but also very busy! Aftercare if very important and I have had to go through a lot to get prepared for surgery. He explained the risks of surgery and made me feel MUCH better about surgery when he mentioned having a filter placed inside the vein that leads to the lungs to prevent pulmonary embolism. I had a blood clot in the past and was terrified of the possibility of developing another one and it traveling to the lungs or heart and causing death, so..yeah..that was a BIG relief to hear! Overall I would rate him an 11, but I will let you all know for sure after surgery lol! Surgical competence is number one, no doubt, I am just a very lucky girl and got a surgeon with awesome bedside manner as well!
