What can I say about Dr. Irgau? He is absolutly wonderful. My impression of him is that he really cares. He explains everything and makes sure that you understand it. His surgical competence and bedside manner are great. Just extremly helpful and puts your mind at ease. I couldnt of picked a better surgeon for myself. Dr Wynn and Peters are great as well.

I stayed in the 4th Floor ICU, bed 20. It was near the doors so it was noisy at all times. Plus the staff was loudly talking and laughing often. The chair to sit in was very small & uncomfortable, especially for post-op bariatric patients. A new unit for bariatrics is supposed to open in mid-April 2006 that will, hopefully, address some of these issues.

When I first met Dr. Wynn, she was pregnant with her 2nd child. She was a very sensitive and caring person. She seemed to understand my plight, and did not judge me at all. She explained everything to me and my husband thoroughly and emphasized how important it is to realize that this is a lifestyle change, not just a quick fix. I have not had my surgery yet, but I feel like I will be in excellent hands with Dr. Wynn. Her staff is very helpful as well, and are great with you as a person.

Dr. Peters made a very good 1st impression, both proffessionally and personally. I like to deal with people who have a sense of humor, and he obviously does. My dealings w/ the office staff have all been positive so far as well.

First impression - very cold, clinical. Wanted to let me know I am in for the long haul. Wanted me to be very sure of what I was doing and how this decision would effect the remainder of my life. I am not sure about demeanor, but like that she laid all the cards on the table. She seems to be a straight shooter! Dr. Wynn went out on maternity leave right before my surgery date, so I haven't seen much of her. From what I have seen she is upbeat, supportive, and extremely thorough.

Ended up changing to her partner Dr. Peters for surgery as Dr. Wynn went out on maternity leave. I can't say enough about Dr. Peters. He has been enthusiastic, concerned, and ever so supportive of all I have gone through. He will not hesitate to kick your butt if needed, but he will back you 10,000 percent if needed. I must admit the staff I have worked with at CHRIAS (and it has been many) has been AWESOME!!! I can't say enough - if I talk with people who are interested in the surgery I give them the ph #. I have received this type of care since I left my oroginal family doc (of 28 years) almost 6 years ago.

Dr. Wynn is a very personable individual. Willing to answer any question that one might have.

Her staff is phenomenal. Always ready to help and with a smile. What a bonus feature.
Plus, the little store is a definite plus and help.

She covered all of the risks involved including the one death from her practice and the reasons why this happened.

I felt I could contact her with any question I may have. This goes for her staff as well.

I wish to especially thank Rose from ICU for going the extra mile. Thanks Rose.

The hospital and most of the staff, etc are very mindful of your needs. There were that few that were loud, complaining and not mindful that surgery patients need rest and comfort. But again the hospital is very nice

I go for my first appt on April 8th and i am so excited. I have the total support of my family and friends on this. I have been warned that Dr Sweet can be a little mean or direct but that is fine with me. I also received a call from the doctors at Kane Hospital outside of Pittsburgh.
