South San Francisco Medical Center Kaiser Hospital
Dr. Khayat is awesome!!! He is super nice and caring! Answered all my questions. I would recommend him to everyone.
Everyone in his office is great. He has a structured aftercare program that is online for his patients to view whenever they like.
Bedside manner and surgical competence are both excellent.
I have only good things to say about Dr. Khayat and everyone at Kaiser West Los Angeles. Even the staff who clean were very nice to me! Every time I walked the halls they would say hello, how are you, do you need anything! What a great hospital!

I loved my surgeon, he was very young looking, and handsome. He was empathetic but definitly NOT a push over. He was prompt at the surgery, and when I requested his presence.
The hospital staff was very accomidating, there was a problem with my family being notified of my condition after surgery, but the Hospital Manager (?) came to my room to let us know she was following up on the situation and apoligized, I obviously wasn't aware of the situation, since I was the patient. The reason for the low rating on "restfully quiet" was that there was a "crazy" man in the room next door that kept screaming for the nurses and using bad language, but I was so out of it, he didn't really bother me and became entertaining! But I could see it being a problem for someone else. Again all staff was great, except for the lady who wheeled me to the car...who was she?!?! She made a rude comment to my nurse about me being able to walk, but she was the least of my worries, I was on my way out the door.
My surgeon was so handsome lol
.. my first impression was how cute and young he was.
after I got to know him, he made me feel really comfortable and knew what was best for me. I completely trusted him.
- I dont think there was anything I disliked about Dr. Le.
Im not too familiar with his after care program, because I lost my insurance.
Although he did want to do a 3,6,9,12 month followup.
I would rate him a 20, out of 10 =)
I met with Dr. Le for the first time yesterday, 12/2/10. He was very pleasant and professional, though he seemed extremely busy. He answered all of my questions and gave information about his education and experience. I had initially planned on having the bypass, but after talking with Dr. Le I have decided to go for the "sleeve". His knowledge and expertise helped aid my decision. The calendar wasn't ready for the January appointments, but I was insured that I would receive a call soon, and sure enough I got one today, the very next day? In addition to Dr. Le's professionalism, the staff is excellent and professional, Lorna was great over the phone and took her time to explain the scheduling for the pre-op appointment. I am very comfortable this far with the team that will be assisting during this journey.

My first impression was that he was young. I googled him after my first visit and learned that he is accomplished at the sleeve having gone to Harvard to perfect it.
I am extremely impressed with him. I feel he actually cares about me... and I am confident he will do a good job.
I will be going back to see him over the next five years and I know that with his help I will keep on track.

Dr. David Le seems great. He explains things very well, the staff is wonderful. I would rate him as EXCELLENT, I feel very good about him being my surgeon. He answers all questions, he is very pleasant, and he is very matter of fact. He explained the risks one by one.
He has a lovely bedside manner and he seems to be extremely surgically competent, but I shouldn't have an opinion on this until after my surgery! (then i'll update this)
Dr Le saved my life. Plain and simple. He and the Kaiser staff were very efficient and personable. They did a great job easing my nerves and were always there when I needed them. He looks a lil young initially but I saw him right after my surgery and my 2 week appointment and he looked alot more mature and experienced for some reason. I guess when you go in for surgery you expect your surgeon to have white hair and glasses. (I don't know) lol I can't stress enough how impressed I was with the staff and my private room.
Nothing negative to say...I was in alot of pain but nurses took care of that and helped me "walk the gas out" but all that is normal with this type of surgery
