Ridgeview Medical Center Hospital
I was really impressed with Dr. Chute, he sends off the impression that he actually cares about his patients. He answered all of my questions no matter how big or small and always eplained things to me in laymans terms.(I dont know about you but I am not a doctor and appreciated him explaining things so that I completely understood him.) Both him and his staff are very firndly and willing to help in any way that they could.
Dr. Chute went over the risks that go along with any surgery and perticularily with this sugery (even though I had researched this like most of you have). I feel that I can trust him and that he is not doing this just for the money. I have to have it done with the open inciision because of scar tissue but i am ok with that because I trust my doctor. I feel like he knows what he is doing very well and his bedside manner is excellent.
My husband and I met Dr. Chute at our scheduled meeting in his office in Mpls. Dr. Chute was very calm and patient with our many questions. He was very thoughtful, and from the start I knew he would be caring and good! He visited me before surgery on the day of surgery, and then 1 or 2 times in my room after. I have not seen him since! However I would really like to! I feel confident with the rest of the office staff, but I really would like to be able to see "my Dr." one more time!! I feel aftercare... was stressed.... but my diet and what to eat wasn't!!! But... I have had no problems since the surgery.... and for that I give Dr. Chute and his staff the credit!!! I am allergic to whey... and the two times Dr Chute was in my room.... he looked at my meal tray... and found Chicken broth on my tray... that, you guessed it had whey in it!!!! He left on a vacation, so Dr Drew released me from the hospital, and he is very good also.
Since I have had no problems, I am very grateful to Dr. Chute, Dr. Drew, and the surgical team, and the nurses that took care of me before, during, and after the surgery!! I am also very grateful to my husband Bill for his constant support... and for his constant devotion to me... fixing my food, and supporting me in my new "life decision!"
I thought he seemed very nice
I have at this time only met with Dr. Chute once
the office staff was very friendly and welcoming.
He said to me "thank you for coming" three times. He seems very soft spoken.
He came recommmended
This is not a quick fix it is a long term commitment
yes
The risks were addressed at a required seminar
I would rate Dr. Chute a 7 out of 10..At this time I haven't had a good chance to really get to know him.
Surgical confidnce is of course very important but, if he can not make me feel comfortable then what is the point of dealing with any doctor.
I think Dr. Baker is a friendly doctor and knows what he is doing and is confident in what he does. The office staff was nice, no complaints. They are extremly busy though. Glad I got in when I did. Dr. Baker is BIG on the before and aftercare. I think it is great because this is not something to take lightly. Make sure you continue to lose weight even if you didn't lose all of what they said you just need to keep losing. The aftercare program is very structured which I like. Before surgery he and his staff told me numerous times the risks to this surgery to make sure that I truly understood what I was getting into. I had a wonderful experience and I hope everyone else does too. Overall Dr. Jeffery Baker is an awesome doctor, no complaints here!
He was very soft-spoken and kind. He listened to what I said and answered all of my qusetions I had. He really emphasized loosing wirght before the surgery. And to follow the aftercare diet. Which I plann on. I think I made the right decision by having him do my surgery. The staff is more than helpful. I had intentionally planed to schedule my surgery with another group, and their staff was incredablly rude towards me. Also, whenever I had to call their office with a question, they made me feel as though I was waisting their time. I was waiting for the insuance company to review my case. (which is another story in itself.) I learned about the laproscopic procedure insded of the open I decied to look into Dr. Chute and his office. From the first phone call to Dr. Chute's office I knew that this was to group I wanted to have this surgery from. They have been helpful sence and are always there for me.
Dr. Chute is awesome! He is honest, caring, confident and professional. I was in good hands. I would have liked to have talked to him more, but I knew my time with him would be short and had all my questions written down and ready. The entire staff at Abbott is wonderful.
Very caring, genuinely concerned with you and your understanding of the surgery. Said that he gives out his pager number to all his patients so that after surgery you can always contact him. Doesn't want his patients to be worried about something going on...to get the answer from him or his nursing staff right away. He is rather "new" to gastric bypass surgery from what I've heard, but not to "surgery". His father, Dr Daniel Baker, has been doing GBS for quite some time, so he has had the best teacher. Only one death in their practice in somthing like 7 years. Very important to him for you to lose your pre-surgery weight (nurse tells you how much on your 1:1) He wants you to take this surgery seriously and be in the best shape you can before hand.
Wonderful after care program that I have already seen first hand, pre-op.
Dr. Chute was very kind and helpfull, my impression has not changed at all since first meeting. His office staff are extremely knowledgable and helpfull. I would rate Dr. Chute as extremely competant and proffesional and I thought his surgical competence and bedside manner were both great.
