Overall I had a good stay. The people who prepped me for surgery were helpful in making me relax and helping me calm down. When I was in my post-room the nurses were fairly good, but it took them too long to come help you. Once they got there they were helpful. My husband was the best nurse I could've asked for- he did SOOO much more than my nurses.
PMH had just started doing this type of surgery, so the staff was newly trained in the post op care. They were hesitant to push all of the walking and activity, but came to understand that this was part of the recommended recovery. The nurses and nurses assistants were wonderful and supportive of gastric bypass and seemed excited to be doing this type of surgery.
