Very impressed with him and that has improved over time.
Staff was/is very friendly
He's a doctor who has a speech to make......no problem, but I have gotten a little tired of the same one.
He is very busy, need to be patient to get appointments.
I am just now learning about aftercare---will have to get back to you about this.
But there is a structured aftercare program.
Not a lot of talk of the risks of surgery, but then again, I have read a lot about it, and have made known what I do know.
Excellent

When I met Dr. Foster, she seemed very nice, yet serious. I could tell we were both interviewing each other. After we concluded our initial meeting, I think we both felt we were a good match.
I just had my follow up visit with Dr. Foster. I was supposed to loose between 7-10 pounds. I surprised everyone, including myself, by loosing 12.8 pounds. I think this proved to Dr. Foster I was serious and able to make the necessary lifestyle changes for surgery.
I have called her Burlingame office a few times, everyone seems very helpful and nice. I will probably not meet them, as I am having my surgery performed at El Camino Hospital in Mt. View. The one assistant who was there both times seems like she may be new. Dr. Foster has to tell her what to do next, as she does not seem to know.
The most impressive thing about Dr. Foster that stands out is how real she is. She wanted to make sure I was educated with not only the positive sides of WLS, but also the very real negatives. She even makes you sign a form stating you understand all of the possible risks. She is very detailed and does not leave one question unanswered.
I cannot think of one negative thing about Dr. Foster. She is a very real person. She uses words which are easily understood, and made me feel comfortable right off the bat. She is the third Dr. I spoke with, as I did not feel comfortable with the previous two doctors. I have found the right match!

Dr Wetter is the lap GOD! He deserves every positive kudo that has been lavished on him. He is very professional, very experienced, warm and caring, genuine, humble, thorough, tolerant (of my high energy spasms! LOL)He has a European outlook that won my Greek mama over!! Scored major points Dr. W!!

The office staff is fine... Yvette is awesome!! She works tirelessly to put everyone through, and even takes the abuse of those who don't realize how hard the insurance co's make it for her to be able to schedule patients for this surgery. Folks, it's not her fault! Yell at the insurers!!

The risks of surgery, and aftercare were excellent and thorough. I would say that in general, everyone should have several sessions with a therapist who specializes in eating disorders. This is something all surgeons should require (IMHO). Dr W is conducive to the fact that psychology plays just as big a part as physiology.... in obesity and its treatment.

10 stars for Dr. Wetter, and 10 stars for Yvette! You two are life-changers and miracle facilitators!! The surgery is a tool, but how lucky are we that you are such excellent providers of this most miraculous of tools!!
My eternal gratitude!!

Pamela Foster was great in all respects. What more can I say.

I really like Dr. Feng's sincere and caring attitude. He was very thorough with his presentation and made me feel like I had made the right decision. He was upfront about risks, complications, fatality within the practice. Although I haven't been in touch with him since my initial appointment I have been in contact with Marilyn (biller) and Ann (RN) and both have been extremely helpful and informational. He told me that in order for the surgery to work I must remember it was a tool, just like the aftercare, eating, exercising, vitamins were all tools in the sucess. I truly believe that is the correct approach. They have a strong aftercare program, monthly meetings, online journals, etc.....I highly recommend the Lap Associates of SF

Dr. Legha and South San Francisco Kaiser were great. I would not change any part of the care or process I received. I had a hard time getting a referral from my primary doctor at Kaiser Oakland, but once I was referred to the Bariatric Center at SSF Kaiser - I had no problems.

Believed him to be very knowledgeable, cautious, caring, and confident. He revealed the pros and cons of surgery, and helped me to address the plan of action for the most successful surgery. He was honest about his successes and (not so successes) and that was very helpeful, he didn't act like a miracle surgeon. I am glad to be able to work with him and to have him perfom the surgery, (when it is time).

I immediately liked Dr.Foster -she took lots of time with me every time I saw her. She is very smart, knowledgeable and kind. I would say her staff has taken care of just about everything for me and has been very helpful.

Because of the way Kaiser SSF has their bariatic program set up, I actually only met with Dr. Legha once prior to surgery. However, I found him to be competent, friendly and upfront. For me competency is more important than bedside manner. I was extremely apprhensive about the surgery, but was reassured after speaking to him. The entire bariatric program at Kaiser is wonderful. Everyone that I met seemed very caring, concerned and competent. The case management meetings are wonderful. Although I am not one to always express my feelings openly, I find that the relaxed atmosphere and being around other people who have the same problems and concerns, helped me. I look forward to continuing the meetings. The drive from home is somewhat burdensome, but I feel it has been worth it. Dr. Legha came to see me in the ICU after surgery and assured me and my family that everything went well and the procedure was routine. I saw him two more times after that, while in the hospital, both very brief, however both times he assured me that I was fine and in fact stating that I looked very well. I do think meeting with the surgeon in the beginning of the program would be nice however. Maybe this will change with time.

My first impression of Dr. Feng was that we is obviously knowledgeable of the surgical procedures and the risk of each of them. Given that I had already done a lot of research I didn't need all that and I wished he could have not focused on getting through all the information and instead just got to know me as a person. I don't want to be just another case. That said, however, he an expert in the field. The office is absolutely wonderful. I delt with a couple of other offices before making the decision to go with Dr. Feng and his office is by far the best run. That is worth everything, and certainly played a role in my decision.
