North Colorado Medical Center (COE) Hospital
I also work at this facility but have been a patient at several hospitals over time and did my best to judge it as a patient, not an employee. The nursing care was excellent, but I was disappointed at how much "broken" equipment there was. IE: my bed remote, the 1st pulse ox they tried to use, the bedside table was jammed, etc. Get new equipment!
It is a LONG walk from the parking structure to the main hospital, and quite a little trek up to surgery. I would ask for a wheelchair if this is too much exercertion. Nurses very nice and accommodating. Semi-private room, but the nurse kicked the other ladies visitors out when I needed a procedure done.
Best Hospital experience I've had & I'm NOT sugar-coating; I'm a Quality Assurance Manager by profession so I know quality when I come across it. The nurses were really personable, upbeat, and attentive. The care across units was good to excellent overall. MY I.V. stick was a peice of cake hole-in-one. (I've had 4 nurses working desperatley to get an I.V. in me in the past. Yes - all at the same time!) My overall experience at NCMC was much better than average or expected. Good Job Guys!
