I feel that a hospital who offers a program to address the needs of a bariatric patient needs to understand that a bariatric patient needs larger gowns and they should not have to ask for them.

Mission hospitals has the best informed staff and Dr. Bradshaw, who make you feel that they are sincere about your well being and success.
Milwaukee's staff does not give you that impression at all. It feels like the DMV; take a number and send you through. Very impersonal. I was not impressed with their program. Hospitall staff didn't even know what to do with a bariatric patient much less how to work the hospital bed. They really need training and follow-up. These are my observations while my husband went through this process. I was fortunate to have a great experience as a patient in Asheville, NC.

I will be the first bariatric patient to have surgery in this hospital. I will have surgery in on Nov. 14, 2003, so I will let you know how my experience is.
