Memorial Health Physicians-Surgical & Bariatric Care Hospital
Dr.Whipple and his staff have been so helpfull and there for me throughout this whole process.his bedside maner is very kind.
Dr. Whipple made me feel completely at ease while in the hospital. He visited me everyday and made some fart jokes with me (if you're post-op then you know why this is totally fine!) haha. The surgery itself was extremely straight forward. The incisions he made were very neat and small. I would recommend him ten times over as I believe him to be a talented surgeon as well as a doctor with great bedside manner.
He was very nice when I first met him his staff were great except for Gloria sorry to put it bluntly but she is a bitch. After I had been a patient there for awhile and was having problems they just started acting like they did not care anymore. His assistant Jodi I would have to say is bi-polar one time she is sweet as she can be and the next time she is rude. I probably would not recommend him to anyone to have surgery there because he is great in the beginning but if you end up sick or have problems then the team does not want to help you, they would rather you be sick and in pain then try to help you.Shali Purvis the NP there is the best one out of the whole team, she is caring and wants to help in any way possible. So in conclusion I would recommend people to try to find a different surgeon because you do not want to go to Dr. Whipple and him be good at first but after you have health problems they would just as soon let you die then to help you.

I can honestly say that I have had a wonderful experience with Dr. Whipple and his staff. In order to be accepted into the bariatric program you go to the information seminar first where you fill out the paperwork about the procedure you think you want. His staff takes your insurance info that day and then checks with your insurance provider to make sure WLS is covered. The wait for that could be anywhere from few days to a week or two depending on the time of year and how many new patients come to the seminar. Once you get n appointment to see Dr. Whipple and he goes over your history he will give you a checklist of things you need to have done in order to be submitted to the insurance company for approval. The checklist is self managed. In other words, he gives you the list and its up to you to make the appointments and get everything done. So the process takes as long as it takes you to get the checklist done.
Dr. Whipple's staff is very nice and they are all very helpful. Dr. Whipple and his assistant comes by to see me everyday that I was in the hospital. His assistant would come in the morning and he would come by later in the day. I am very satisfied with my care and would recommend Dr. Whipple to anyone wanting bariatric surgery.

Very helpful in letting me decide which type of surgery to have. Has a great personality. The office staff are very busy but always follow threw in helping you out. They are very professional. Nice to know that they are always there for you and your questions. They helped me get threw the long process of appointments and lab work. The program he has set up is very detailed and works very nicely. After the surgery he was very optimistic in how everything went and how my recover would be. The aftercare is very well set up so you don't feel left on your own. I have nothing unpleasant to say about any of the staff or facilaty. My experience from start to finish was very pleasant.
