Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County Hospital

I was admitted into Lourdes Medical Center in Willingboro, NJ for emergency surgery to treat a bowel obstruction. The hospital paged Dr. Medvetz to see if she would perform the surgery. Dr. Medvetz was about to leave for a family vacation, but immediately agreed to perform the surgery. She came to my bedside within an hour and explained my condition and treatment needed. She displayed a real warmth and concern for me as a person as well as a patient. She made me feel very comfortable and secure in her abilities to treat me.
Dr. Medvetz took the time to go over everything and answered any questions that my wife and I had. She took the time to make sure I was completely relaxed and and allayed all my fears before leaving to prepaid for surgery. My operation lasted approximately one hour and required removing 80 centimeters of bowel. After the surgery, she went over all that was done. My bowel section displayed abnormal features and she advised us that it would be sent for a pathology exam. Dr. Medvetz was very good at explaining possible causes without adding unnecessary fears. Her positive outlook was contagious. Over the next few days she stopped to check on my surgical site, and my physical and emotional well being. Again at no time, did she seemed rushed. She spent as much time with me as I needed. I heartily recommend Dr. Medvetz to anyone in need of the medical treatment she offers.

I had RNY surgery with Dr Medvitz on March 16 2011, I will say that I was a little skeptical at first because I haven't read many reviews, the ones I did read were good but while in langhorne attending a meeting I came across some people whom had surgery with her and had all positive things to say. Dr. Medvitz is very honest, kind, and a top notch surgeon. She is not one to take chances with our health, she honestly cares and wants what is best for the patient. She has a great office staff who are there to help you. She came in and sat with me afterwards and we chatted she is a genuine sweetheart! She never rushed and gave me her undivided attention, she took time with my family and answered any questions they had. I can say that I am recovering beautifully better then expected and even joked with Dr Medvitz as to if she even performed surgery cause I feel wonderful and would refer her to any friend or family member. Also the nurses at the Barix center were just as wonderful, what a great experience this whole thing has been for me..thanks everyone for doing a outstanding job!!!!!!

The staff was watm and caring. They were very attentive to address my pain quickly. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. It was an amazing stay.

Dr. Medvetz is such a sweetheart! You can feel the genuine care she has for her patients. Not many docs give out their cell phone numbers. Her staff is wonderful, she's straight to the point, and her office visits are quick and never a long wait! Her nurse coordinator is also wonderful! I would recommend Dr. Medvetz and the entire Surgical staff at Mercy Fitzgerald.

There is a new surgery wing that will eventually be a bariatric wing. It's wonderful! The staff is handpicked, the rooms are private and very roomy, there are bariatric chairs...I can't say enough good things about it!
