Franklin Regional Medical Center Hospital
They were terrible, my linen was not changed for 3 days and then when I went off they finally did it! Also on the last day there my cell phone was stolen by an aide. It was terrible, the one nurse when my IV blew and I asked to have another dose of pain medicine asked me "where do you want your next IV"? I had some really choice words for her and she ended up giving me a shot like I knew that she could. I did have to stay another day due to a high fever and ended up getting another IV anyway but still. She was the pits!
My night nurse was great and I remember one nurse I had during the day was also great. Whomever the person is on the other side of that buzzer was absolutely horrible. Also, the staff down in radiology was also horrible. They bickered over having to serve me when they were just getting ready to go to lunch. I cried while I sat there thinking how insensitive can people be, all you care about is going to lunch when all I want to do is be able to have a glass of water.
All of the hospital staff that I have had interaction with have been extremely friendly. I had most of my labs and GI work performed at Franklin Regional Medical Center. The most disturbing for me was the restrooms near the entrance were filthy. They were filthy on two separate visits. I have been in gas station restrooms that were much more clean. I submitted a comment and hopefully this will be addressed. I will provide a follow up once I have surgery.
Couple things I want to comment on. 1st: They delayed my surgery because of an assistant who had to leave and then kept me on this god awful hard bed for 5 hours that made me want to cry from a sore butt. 2nd: they gave me this size small gown that didn't even fit me across the front, then COMPLAINED when I asked for a larger size. I mean, HELLO I'M HERE FOR A WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY!!! 3rd: I was in and out of surgery in 3 hours, that's it. I went in at 2, and was in the car riding home at 4:30. I was dressed while I was still asleep from surgery and vaguely remember getting into the wheelchair and remember NONE of the ride home. This I'm not complaining about, but it was just... odd.
