DHR Bariatric and Metabolic Institute Hospital
I was so nervous at having such a major surgery but after speaking with Dr. Alleyn and his staff I Was at such ease and so well informed. I'm 20 months post-op and down 192 pounds. I Have had I complication do to taking a medication that I wasn't suppose to and he was at the hospital within 2 hrs. of them calling him. I would refer any family member or friend to this wonderful Dr. and his staff.
I knew from the moment that I met Dr. Alleyn that he would help me change my life. His office staff are very professional and easy to talk to. I would let future patients know that they shouldn't be afraid. Dr. Alleyn is one of the best in the business and he truly cares and remembers you. Your not just another patient. He goes through and explains the different options that you have available thouroughly. He addresses all the risks/complications. His knowledge showed me that I was in good hands. His bedside manner and surgical competence are awesome. On a scale from 1 (low) to 10 (high), I rate him at a 10. Thanks.
I did have my open Gastric Bypass he also did laproscopic cholesectomy (Gall Bladder removal)on Feb. 1, 2010 & that was the 1st day of my new life!!! Thank you Lord Thank you Dr Alleyn that I have a new chance at making this right... a better & healthier lifestyle! He is AWESOME! I had no complications whatsoever! started walking that same day & ever since, I am now at 1 month out & weight loss on schedule 35 lbs & lots of inches gone!
very informative, nice & professional... I'm in good hands! His office is really busy, they are professional aswell, the Bariatric wellness center is awesome! they are very nice & the class was superb! Nothing negative to say about him yet & I pray there wont be.
He seems to cares about all patients & is thorough with pre op & post op care. Patients I met in reception area are extremely pleased with him, he tries to do all Laproscopically.
I orginally began to see Dr. Alleyn about 2 years ago for the Lap-Band Procedure. I had some problems with the finance company and decided it was just too much to handle. To make a long story short I did not have the Lap-Band surgery. At this point I am glad I didn't have it. I have seen and heard of people who are unsatisfied with the results. He did explain in depth about both surgeries. The only thing I would say I disliked was his sarcasam at times. But it's not too bad that I would change phycisians. I mean I myself have my sarcastic moments.
I had Lap Band surgery with Dr.Alleyn and I'm so glad God put me in the right hands for such a big step in my life. I've known Dr. Alleyn for a few years and I think his reputation precedes him, he is a very caring physician who treats his patients with the utmost respect and with impecable bedside manners. The before and after care are a great way to give patients the incentive they need to continue their battle against obesity. I feel blessed to have him as my bariatric surgeon, cause I know that he will do his best to help me achieve success with my WLS. If I had to do it all over again, I would in a heartbeat, and that confidence I could only get it from the knowledge of having such a skilled surgeon on my side.
I just met my surgeon this week. I really liked his upfront approach regarding the surgery. I am a little nervous, but I feel like he has made every effort to inform me of the risks and his staff is helping to educate me more on what my lifestyle is going to be like after the surgery. I am very interested in hearing from more people who've had the surgery with Dr. Alleyn, as well as others. I have done lots of research on this procedure before I decided to do it. My father also had the surgery as well. He now has more energy then I do. I am excited and a little scared, which is natural. I'm 25 years-old and this is my first time having major surgery. Please keep me in prayer. Thanks
