Desert Springs Hospital Hospital

My first stay in a hospital and it was great considering I was in a hospital. They took very good care of me and were very attentive to my needs. I can't thank you all enough!

All of the staff were incredibly helpful, kind and encouraging. The only real issue if you can call it that is there was a VERY demanding patient a couple rooms over and she ate up a lot of attention and was a little loud although entertaining.

I spent 2 nights in Desert Springs and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The shift changes made no difference most all were very nice and assisting. Deeann, Robert and Sara were wonderful and friendly, UNDERSTANDING AND PATIENT when an issue arose with my general health.

I thought they were a good hospital very helpful and full of wisdom on WLS. They staff was very nice and caring. When I woke up I was in SO much pain. I had the worst headache to boot. I asked for pain med and they told me that they could not give me any more. My breathing was not so good. Other then that it was a very good hospital.

The staff that worked with me were excellent. I felt like I was in good hands from the moment they took charge of me. The Bariatric nurse was extremely helpful. She provided so much information and had it written down so I can reread it anytime I want to.

I must say that this is one of the dirtiest hospitals I have been in. My mother had heart surgery there about 7 years ago. It was filthy then and still is. While my husband was waiting for me during surgery a few nurses walked by him, and they were commenting on how dirty the floors were. So it is not just me that think it is dirty.

I was really worried about having my Band surgery at Desert Springs because I had never been there before. And have had some really horrible experiences at Hospitals in this town. This was very different they were so nice and accommodating. I felt that they new what they were doing. They were always asking me if I needed anything and if I pushed the call button someone came right away. The nurses and nurses assistants were very nice. It was the best hospital stay I had ever had which I didn't think was possible.

I would not go to this hospital again. I shared with my physician some of the issues I had while there. I was just glad it wasn't more serious. I have been to the other hospital in town (St. Rose) and prefer that 10 to 1.

The surgery was done outpatient and I was still half-asleep when they made me leave. When my mother asked them to let me stay a little longer, the nurse replied "SHE HAS TO GO NOW." I will never step foot in this hospital again.

The staff was great. The hospital was clean and organized.
