Clovis Community Medical Center Hospital
As an RN I may be a bit pickier, but here are some of the horrors...
1) Nurse administered IV meds without sterilizing the port first
2) Nurse admininstered IM injection without aspirating for blood and I bled profusely - he was unprepared, so he applied an alcohol swab to the site to try and stem the bleeding, then taped it there (HELLO? Alcohol on open sores HURT! Where's your 2x2?!?)
3) My roommate asked for an emesis basin (to throw up) 3 times before they brought one - too late, on the bed
4) My IV went dry twice and it had to be restarted because they didn't come when I called to notify them to hang a new bag of solution
5) My nasal cannula (for the O2) fell on the floor and they didn't replace it - ANYTHING that falls on that nasty floor should be replaced before being introduced into your body
And overall they were VERY unresponsive - I would go hours without seeing someone. It got to the point that I would disconnect all my equipment, go pee, and hook myself back up to everything. Nightmare. DO NOT USE CLOVIS HOSPITAL!!!
Dr. Juarez performed my surgery in september of 2006. I chose him from this web site based on his excellent record of success and availability- I am glad I did! I had absolutely NO complications and have lost 150 pounds. His staff worked with me to get my surgery quickly and they were always available to answer my questions. In the office, Jessica was wonderful and understanding of my excitement / nervousness prior to surgery (she had surgery with Dr. Juarez too). Because of my positive experiences, I will be coming back to Dr. Juarez when it's time for a tummy tuck. rnrn

From the first time I walked into the office of Dr. Juarez I was greeted with warmth. I have been on the six month program and see the office staff a lot. The office and the Dr. have been great to work with through this journey. I look forward to the surgery with him and trust that he will see me through. Since I have not had the surgery yet I cannot comment on the aftercare program or the Dr.'s bedside manner. I will update when I start the post-op faze.
Dr. Juarez was great! Very fun, laughing type of guy. His office is very busy most of the time, the wait is typically longer then normal, but it's worth it when you have good people to wait for. He also sets up a before and after-care program that is nice to have for you to get used to exercising. 1-5 Rating, diffenetly a 5 Star!
