Centre Metropolitain Hospital
The beds are old and very uncomfortable, especially for someone overweight. The pillows were less then an inch thick and hard. My back and neck were aching and I had a migraine by the time I left. Even though the hospital accepts patients from all over Canada and the US, being in Montreal, some of the nurses do not speak english. A couple of them would not even speak to me, because I did not speak French and one of them was rude to my mother who was visiting me and shouted at her, because she did not understand French.
The hospital rooms are carpeted. This not only is very unsanitary, but, as one of the other patients pointed out, could cause a spark and cause one of the huge oxygen tanks in the rooms to explode.
Finally, half way through my stay they gave my room to another patient and moved me into a room with a man. Him and I are friends and have met before, so it was not a personal thing, but there was very little privacy, being in a hospital gown only separated by a thin sheet of fabric.
Considering this was a private Hospital, I was very disappointed.
