Baylor Regional Medical Center of Plano Hospital
I was very happy with my decision to have my WLS done at Baylor -- Plano. I was impressed by the facilities, and the staff was very kind and helpful. I was in a good deal of pain the night following my sleeve surgery, and the IV pain pump was not helping much. However, I began to feel better once they switched me to oral pain medication the following morning. One note: I did try to page a nurse by pressing the call button on my bed a few times, but didn't learn until the following morning that the nurse-call button was on a separate remote.
The hospital has at least two Starbucks locations, which was very helpful for my wife as she stayed at the hospital with me overnight. The rooms are private, and have chairs that pull out for visitors to sleep on. Overall a positive experience, and I would recommend Baylor -- Plano for someone who is having WLS.
