About Me
Michelle Konstantarakis MS RDN LD CDE received her first undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Having struggled with weight herself growing up, she found a passion for nutrition and fitness during college. Realizing the power of eating the right foods and physical activity, she went back for her Nutrition degree in pursuit of becoming a dietitian and completed her Masters in Exercise Physiology.
Michelle is a Certified Diabetes Educator, and Insulin Pump Trainer. An expert in the field of Diabetes she provides counseling to people with Type 1, and Type 2, as well as developing diabetes prevention plans. She works with adults in the management of their diabetes, using the latest technology to help them achieve optimal blood glucose control.
Michelle believes nutrition and fitness are equally important and strives to help individuals create healthy habits enabling them to live their healthiest lives and/or perform at their optimal level. Michelle also teaches nutrition courses at UNLV, which allows her to provide not only nutrition education, but also guidance and mentorship to students, which was vital to her own success.
Although Michelle wasn’t always a total nutrition or fitness nerd, she is currently a certified barre instructor, and loves to mix it up with running, pilates, TRX, and athletic training classes. She loves shopping, traveling, cooking, and being with her family and friends who make her smile and laugh… Oh, and ice cream and wine… they too bring a smile to her face!
Changing the way people think about food.
