Denise is a registered dietitian who has been working at UCHealth Anschutz campus since 2017 in the Surgical Weight Loss Center. She teaches UCH's bariatric nutrition class as well as counsels patients daily on nutritional guidelines to prepare for surgery or to achieve their post-op weight loss goals. She also instructs and mentors dietetic interns, as well as consulting with medical students and GI fellows. Her latest project is working with Spanish-speaking patients to prepare for bariatric surgery and helping to translate bariatric materials for UCHealth's Spanish-speaking bariatric patients.
