Barbara Truitt Dietitian / Nutritionist MS, RDN, LDN

Born and raised in sunny South Florida, Barbara has worked in hospitals, nursing homes, dual diagnosis centers and private practice for many years. In the hospital, Barbara was the dietitian for the trauma ICU patients where she managed their nutrition support needs. Barbara switched career paths from Clinical Nutrition to Academia in 2016, currently teaching online nutrition courses for Rasmussen University. She is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition. She has been active in the local and state dietetic associations. Barbara earned her BS degree in Dietetics and Nutrition from Eastern Michigan University in 2008 then earned MS degree in Human Nutrition from Eastern Michigan University in 2014. Before becoming an registered dietitian, Barbara worked as a DTR for over 15 years.
