Dr. Hammer, a surgeon with Springfield Clinic, leads our medical team. Dr. Hammer is widely recognized among his professional peers for his advanced skill in laparoscopic surgical methods and has specialized in minimally invasive bariatric surgical techniques since the 1990s. He has received specialized training in the area of weight loss and obesity medicine. He is a graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and is board certified by the American Board of Surgery.
