My first impression of Dr. Gonzalez was that he was a very knowledgable and experienced doctor that cares alot for his patients. My first impression still has not changed, every time I see Dr. Gonzalez during clinic, I see a Great BIG smile on his face, as he sees the success of all his patients. rnThe entire Clinic and Hospital Staff are the greatest. rnrnI can't think of anything that I disliked about Dr. Gonzalez, he is awesome! rnrnFuture patients should know that Dr. Gonzalez is caring, understanding, experienced, funny, and he will always be there for you! rnrnDr. Gonzalez really emphasizes the importance of aftercare, he believes that in order for me to suceed in my goals, that I should continue with every step of ladder.rnrnInnova Hospital San Antonio has a helpful and informative structured support group meeting every Tuesday at 6:00 pm. that anyone is invited to attend.rnAt every office visit preoperativly Dr. Gonzalez would remind me of every risk involved with the surgery and if I was committed to do the surgery.rnrnDr. Gonzalez is five star(*****) doctor!rnrnMy Story:rnAfter constantly seeing every patient of Dr. Gonzalez and Dr. Patel that has had surgery at our hospital (Innova Hospital San Antonio) with excellent results, I decided to have the surgery myself. I had Gastric Bypass Surgery on May 24, 2006 with Dr. John J. Gonzalez, so far I have lost 60lbs. and I have gone down from a size 24 to a size 16 in only 2 months, and I feel GREAT! rnThe entire Innova Staff is Awesome (and I'm not just say this because I work here) being on the other end helped me see what our patients go through. rnThe first day was bad, I was in alot of pain but Adana (on of our nurses) was on her feet all night checking up on me. rnEach day was better, and better...rnI was discharged on the 3rd day with a smile on my face! rnrnIf I had to do this surgery again, I would do it in a heart beat!rnrnFrances GomezrnDirector of Fiscal ServicesrnInnova Hospital San Antoniorn4243 E. When I met Dr Gonzalez back in October 2005 I immediately felt I had made a right decision. He goes over all the options and wants to know your input at all times. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. If there was ever any questions that you had or something that you didn't understand the staff was there to get the answers and help you to understand. This is a change of life a new journey that needs to be taken serious.
