I am having a revision/ stomach bypass on 9/19/2014. I was very skeptical about making an appointment after my failure with the band.
The time that I spent with Dr. Swain was comforting in many ways. The most important one was no judgment. I was so concerned about that...that it kept me away from seeking help... I am glad that I decided to go back.

I would rate Dr. Swain as an excellent surgeon. He is very kind and has a wonderful "bedside" manner. He is thoughtful, and makes the effort to really listen and connect with people, without coming across as judgmental or critical. My surgery went well without complications (even though my sensitivities to medical glue and tape presented a challenge.) The impact on my life so far has been nothing short of a miracle. Dr. Swain was also the surgeon who gave the introductory class to me and my husband and when the time came to make the decision, my husband wanted me to choose him for the surgery because he felt confident in his knowledge and capability. Just as important, so did I. He instilled a confidence by his level of expertise and we were not disappointed with the service we received.
