Theres not enough stars to rate this excellent surgeon. I am a little over a month post opt RNY. Dr. Sharma was my surgeon from Virtua Bariatrics and I am beyond the roof proud of his outstanding work on me. He goes in complete detail with everything you need to know, leaving you feel trustworthy about him. My incision site is healing excellent and so neatly appeared ???? hes truly a GEM in my eyes. I recommend Dr. Sharma for any of your Bariatric desires. You wont question yourself, once you’ve taken the time to have a consult with him personally ???? Dr. Sharma is the most congenial, compassionate and truly caring doctor I have encountered. His surgical expertise is beyond parallel and his bedside manner is just A-One! Surgery, in and of itself, is very daunting and scary...Dr, Sharma eased my fears and my vertical sleeve gastrectomy went fabulously well. He is genuinely concerned about his patients and their long-term well-being. Thank you, Dr. Sharma, for everything! You've changed my life for the better!

Making the decision to have bariatric is a scary one and the patient needs to be 100% confident in the surgeon they choose - this is something I found in Dr. Sharma and so much more. He has been extremely professional and compassionate since I first saw him in Sept. 2018. He performed the gastric sleeve on March 26th and I am currently down 80 pounds and still going strong. He spent as much time with my family after the procedure and explained what was done and what to expect - answering any and all of their questions.

Do not wait until your BMI is at a critical level, I was right at 40 with high blood pressure and having the VGS was one of the best decisions I have ever made!!

Dr Sharma performed an emergency appendectomy for me a week ago. He was very professional, knowledgeable and kind during our interactions and his treatment of my condition. The surgery went excellently, without complications or delay. Dr Sharma even noted a couple of unrelated conditions he saw while performing the appendectomy, and ordered a test performed the next morning to followup on one of them. We agreed that my post-op condition would not allow me to tolerate testing for the other condition, so he provided the laparoscopic photo he took for that one and he recommended follow-up with an appropriate physician. He very accurately anticipated and explained my post-operative condition and recovery process and timing. I would recommend him to anyone. Very sweet and competent - a rare combination in a surgeon!
