Dr. Gaurav Sharma, Bariatric Surgeon

Gaurav Sharma, MD is a minimally invasive general and bariatric surgeon practicing at Virtua Surgical Group in Moorestown and Haddon Heights, New Jersey. He earned his medical degree from Medical College Baroda in India and traveled to the United States where he joined a research fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital and finished his general surgery internship there as well. He completed his residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in Livingston, New Jersey and a Bariatric Fellowship at Princeton University Hospital. He is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and a member of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). 

Board-certified by the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Sharma specializes in minimally invasive surgery. He is highly skilled in performing laparoscopic and da Vinci robot-assisted surgeries and robotic Bariatric surgery.
