Dr Graber and Lisa were very helpful in guiding through the surgery and the aftercare. The knowledge presented was understanding and honest. If anyone is looking for a surgeon then Dr Graber is the one to choose.

I met Dr. Graber on the 11th of Febuary 2008. and was very impressed by his manners and those of his staff. He already had my approval letter and took the time to explain everything to myself and husband. rnI was very impressed by the way his office staff received us and how everything was done on time I am looking forward to meeting him on the 3 and 4th of April.

i had dr fitzer, graber's partnerrnmy first impression was that he was a very effecient knowledgable guy, and a little cutie ta boot. (I am old enough to be his mother so don't get any bad thoughts) My impression of him has not changed, I think he is great. The office staff is super. I think that he and dr graber should have a better aftercare program as far as after the 8 week out part. I needed a diet program for after 8 weeks. So I called his office, spoke to his nutrtionist and the diet was taken care of. The doctors were straight forward and honest, who could ask for more. Surgically and bedside manner are both great. I like him.rn

Dr. Graber is a very nice man. When I first met him I saw how he cared for his patients when in his building / offices he had purchased expensive chairs to accomodate his patients plus alot of other things as well to aid his patients ease into a new way of life.rnrnI found him to be a compassionate, informative Doctor who emphasized before, during after surgery and stressed support groups as a must! He outlayed in full detail the risks involved in this surgery!rnrnI would rate him as of now 1 being the lowest score and 10 the highest score a 10!!!rnrnBoth surgical competence and bedside manner are very important but because of obvious reasons surgical competence takes president over bedside. Which he has both of these qualities.rnrn

What can I say about Dr. Graber? The man is a genius. He's very likeable, you instantly feel at ease with him. His staff are amazing. Everyone is pleasant, polite and smiling. The entire process was made as easy as it could be and all questions answered without hesitation. His surgical skills are top notch. I was up and around the same day, the incisions healed without incident, and I've had no complications what-so-ever. Overall, the care I received was stress-free and very competent.

I really enjoyed sitting down and speaking with Dr. Graber. He was very personable and showed sensitivity to my concerns. He went into detail on the surgery procedure and took the time to explain it, as matter of fact he drew it out. He answered my questions and even gave me answers to the question I didn't ask.

I was first taken a back by this doctor when I first met him. He wears a bow tie and I thought all doctors who wore bow ties were funny. My impression did change over time. He is a wonderful doctor so I don't let first impressions fool me. His office staff is also great. There is nothing I did not like about Dr Graber. Future patients should know that he has a wonderful success rate. He is very strict on his after care. But he is only looking out for his patients. He does have a structured aftercare program and he did address the risks of surgery. He is a wonderful surgeon. To me, surgical competence and bedside manner are both great, which Dr. Graber does have.

Dr Graber was quite thorough in explaining all that could be expected if one had this surgery.rnHe went over most of the problems and/or side issues that could occur, with this surgery.rnrnHe spent a goodly amount of time trying to ensure that one understood exactly what they were about to have done.rnrnOver time so far, He is available if you have questions or need to be checked or examined.rnrnHis office staff are very curteous and try to be as helpful as they can.rnrnHe does emphasize aftercare. I have been back to New Hartford 3 times so far.rnrnI will then have to see him 4 months after that in May 2006, then 6 months out after that appt. Not sure after that?rn**rnI will give these questions more thought and update with any negative thoughts of things that happened...before and after surgery.**rnrnHe did not emphasize risk of the surgery but of course there is always risk and one had to sign many papers that one understood what the risks could possibly be.rnrnI give Dr Graber a very good rating. He was thorough and paid strict attention to making sure that I would be OK.rnrnEven with all my medical problems, Dr Graber told me that it was a \"beautiful\" surgery and that he had no problems with me, in the operating room.rnrnSurgical competence is most important, but bedside manner is also important. Dr Graber gets good marks on both accounts.rn*********************rnThe above information is just my personal impression of my surgery and care from Dr Graber and his staff. I am making no statements about what other people may experience.**********************

I think Dr Graber provides superlative care and expertise in bariatric surgery. I am extremely happy and feel lucky to have had him as my surgeon. His practice is 100% dedicated to bariatric surgeries. rnrnWhen I first met Dr Graber it is obvious he knows his business inside and out. He spends as much time as you need to go through everything and answers every question completely and makes sure you understand the good, the bad and the ugly. He has set up a complete program for his patients, tracking their advances and any health issues. He ensures that patients understand that this tool is of a limited time and that the individual patient has to be wise to use it to relearn their relationship with food and movement. rnrnHe is not a jolly person - but i wouldn't respect him as much if he was. He's intelligent, personable and caring in his way. He focuses on the mechanics of the surgery - and leaves the emotional stuff to other staff members. People look at my incisions and notice what a fabulous job was done. In the hospital, other doctors, RNs, etc. all respect and admire him. That's a good thing to know that his colleagues think highly of him.rnrnHe has surrounded himself with excellent staff. So far, they have all been responsive, helpful and knowledgeable in their specific areas. If they don't know something, they seek out the answers.rnrnThis is the best thing I ever did for myself - and I couldn't have done it without Dr Graber. He's a Godsend to me.
