First Impression - kind, compassionate & informative.
Changing Impression - continue to be impressed with his humanity and honesty.
Office Staff - Lesley, the assistant, has been most helpful. She follows up - does scheduling by taking into consideration my schedule and the distance I travel. Erin, nutritionist - knowledgable and willing to help.
Like Less - Nothing
Future Patients Should Know - The process to surgery can move relativly fast, so if you are not sure besure to stop and take a breath. The doctor will be more than glad to accomadate.
Aftercare - the is homework regarding aftercare prior to the surgery. It is the most important.
Structured Aftercare - Scheduled appointments with the doctor and other members of his staff plus twice monthly scheduled support groups.
Risks of Surgery - Explicitly
Overall Rating - High so far. More after the surgery!
Dr. Curry has quite a following on the OH board, and with good reason. I had done quite a bit of research before my first consult with him, and was surgeon "shopping" when I went to see him. He made me feel very comfortable and I knew as soon as I walked out of his office I had found my guy. I was also struggling with a self-pay issue, and he and Deaconess were one of the most reasonably priced surgeons/facilities close to my area.
My first impression of Dr Curry was he is young and wants you to be informed of the risk as well as the benefits of W.L.S. -My impression of him has changed greatly I noticed on one message board that he posted a reply to someone on a Sunday evening what dedication he has to his patients and future patients. -His office staff is so considerate, each person I met with was fantastic Leslie is always trying to find an answer to all my little questions, Cathy also tries to help me as best she can, I have not had to deal with Erin as of yet other than my initial consultation but she is one of the most likable people I have ever met. -There is not a thing that I don't like about Dr Curry -Future patients should know that Dr Curry really cares about what he does.I am now 6 weeks post op and I have not had a problem to speak of I came home from lap rny 48 hours after surgery if I have a question the office staff get back to me that day Dr.Curry is there for you if you need him he is simply the greatest and I am so happy I was able to be his patient
i felt more than comfortable when i talked with dr.curry. his presentation he makes to you and the thorough discussion he has with you really lets you know he knows what he's doing. the office staff was very friendly also they treated you like a person and not like a number i'm very glad i chose to go to dr.curry and i really hope that he is the one who can do surgery on me.
Good he answered any question I asked him.I've only meet with him once, will meet with him in two days & I will know then if my impression has changed.Very helpful. Not enough time to know what I like least about him.His office staff & him seem to be very accessible. He didn't, but his staff has stressed how important it is.Yes.He was up front about the risks he didn,t beat around the bush.Good.I can,t compare the two, because all that I know is his bedside manner.I have looked high & low for infomation on his surgical competence and have not been able to find any.
