Dr. Pitchford did my surgery almost two months ago and I am down 52 lbs. I feel that he did a great job and had excellent bedside manner. The team was great and I feel I was very prepared for my surgery and the changes that I would experience. I know that many others that had surgery from support groups seem to not have been as prepared. I would highly recommend Dr. Pitchford and his team.
Dr. Pitchford is a very easy going and likable personality. He explains things in a way that is very easy to understand and takes the time to make sure you understand everything. I always feel very comfortable talking with him and his staff about anything that might come up. I am 9 months out from my surgery now (VSG) and have amazing restriction that has allowed me to be successful. 100 lb loss in 8 months. I would recommend him to anyone considering bariatric surgery.
My first impression of Dr. Pitchford is that he is a quiet person. He seems very thorough and proffesional. He told me that he was one of the 1st surgeons in Wisconin to work on the Lap-band. His nurse Sue is very friendly and helpful. I have been very impressed with the Marshfield Clinic where he practices out of. They are all very helpful and supportive. rnHe has a calming nature about him. He explains everything to you and takes his time in answering all your questions. I would recommend him to family and friends.
I met personally with Dr. Pitchford on June 10, 2004 for my eval. I listened to him at the orientation as well so could ask questions at that time as well. He seems to be a bit of a quiet person, serious but also has a smile behind it all too. I did ask him a personal, somewhat hardcore question at the orientation and he seemed very honest when answering me. That assured me that he is human but seems to strive to do his very best. Sue seems to be very nice and informational as well. :o) Personally I have heard nothing but positive about Dr. Pitchford and his nurse, Sue.rn
Only met Dr Pitchford twice, once at the informational session and once to actually talk with him. I really like him. ANswered all my questions really well. Looking forward to seeing him again in about 2 weeks.rn8 Jan 09 I had my surgery 3 years ago already. Dr. Pitchford was great. Had a minor complication during surgery(couldn't get to my whole stomach lapo, so he had to cut me) Had to stay in hospital a little longer. Dr Pitchford checked in on me regularly and everything went great. 3 years later I am down 95 pounds and feel GREAT!! I would like to lose another 25#. I would , but don't ever intend on getting that heavy again, have the surgery again, but only if Dr. Pitchford does it. Thanks Dr Pitchford, I feel I owe my live to you.
