He had a command aura about him - which gave me confidence in him. He is very easy to talk to and if you have done any research on your desired procedure then you can have a good dialogue. He makes sure if there are other health issues prior to surgery he gets them checked out for an okay to proceed. That made me feel good, because even though I am the one seeking the surgery, he didn't rush you into it. His staff was great and friendly. He was good at addressing the surgery risks involved according to the health conditions I had as well as to how other issues can happen and what they could be. He addressed my questions and always left it to me when he did his visits to be sure I understood everything. He never had me feel as if I had to figure things out for myself. The pre-op program was good and as you met certain criteria, you progressed closer to a date. The education and support level so far has been good. The only thing I wish to have received would be a discharge packet consisting of menus, the amount of time on average to still have pain, when to progress to a new level of eating, when to presume exercises other than walking, & what to look for in protein drinks just to name a few.

My first impression of Dr Z, was that he is very friendly and professional. I would recommend Dr Z to other tricare patients.

My first impression of Dr. Z is that he is very sincere and serious in his desire to educate the patient about what they are facing with this procedure. He has a very pleasant demeanor and I am very comfortable with the upcoming surgery.
Dr. Z has a surgery coordinator named Anna, she is a very nice person, also very sincere in her desire to help you through the process. You are required to be in the state for at least 12 months post-op or Dr. Z will not do the surgery.

Hello everyone. I must say this has been such a wonderful and yet a long journey.I will finally be having my surgery on march 14th. I have to say that Dr Zagorski is a wonderful doctor. He impressed me very much, He has been very helpful and informative and also a very caring dr.His coordinator Anna has also been great.I definately believe that she is the best.I sure wouldnt want anyone else doing my surgery. With Dr Zagorski doing my surgery and his coordinator Anna doing what she has to do to get us all prepared, i feel in my heart that nothing can go wrong.

My first impression of Dr Z is very good. The post op patients seem to rave about him!! He seems very qualified and so does Anna the coordinator. It seems like they are trying (and succeeding) to organize a very large group of people an the waiting list. They empasize greatly on aftercare and working out before hand. They have made very clear the risks and benefits of surgery. I rate them VERY WELL, with my experience so far.

He seems very knowlegdeable. I have heard great things about him. He seems to have a since of humor, but still care about his patients. Anna, his coordinator, is great, very busy, but great. They both want to make sure you are educated on the surgery and express exercise both before and after. You have to have your spouse with you or you cannot have the surgery till they can be with you.

I got to meet Dr. Zagorski breifly at the group consultation. He seems like a very understanding man. I have heard a lot of great things about him. He seems to be an honest person, who holds nothing back.
I also have to mention, his coordinator, Anna, she has been most helpful throught this process. She will bend over backwards to help in any way she can. She has a big job and lot's of patients to get through this process, but she has always made time for any questions or problems I've encountered.
I have heard from other who have had thier surgery with Dr.Z that the "team" is most helpful and 100% supportive of thier patients.
WELL IT'S OFFICAL! IM NOW A POST-OP! DR.Z IS THE GREATEST! I HAVE TO BRAG ON HIM BECAUSE HE AND HIS TEAM GAVE ME THIS NEW GIFT OF LIFE! THROUGHOUT MY SURGERY AND ALL THE VISITS WITH HIM, HE HAS HAD THE GREATEST MANORISM AND PROFESSIONALISM I'VE SEEN IN AWHILE. I MUST SAY HE DOES A GREAT JOB AND I HIGHLY RECCOMEND HIM IF YOU ARE LOOKING INTO TIS SURGERY IN HAWAII. NOTHING BUT THE BEST!

Dr.Zagorski is great he's very up front and honest and very informative. He's very easy to talk to and approachable which is a great quality for any doctor to have. He has made me feel at ease. His staff is great especially his nurse Anna. She is an angel and really cares about her patients and thier families. You can ask her anything and she will either know the answer or find it for you. She has called me twice to check up on me and it was on her days off and I haven't even had the surgery yet.I can't say anything bad about either Dr.Z or Anna except that there are not enough people in the world like them.
Dr Zagorski stress's aftercare and also stress's that help after from family and friends is very important. I would reccomend anyone who is in the military in Hawaii and is thinking about gastric bypass to really consider Dr. Zagorski for thier surgeon.

I first saw the surgeon in a 2 hour information meeting where he decribed into very great detail what the surgery was all about as well as all the complication associated with the surgery. I thought it was very informative. My first impression was good. Anna Peters is his Bariatric Nurse Coordinator, I wouldn't wish this job on anyone!
He really emphasizes Husband support before , during and after surgery. He has a very structured after care program. H ewas very clear on the risk's involved in surgery.
I would rate him very well. I personally think surgical competence is more important than bedside manner, but both would be wonderful.

Dr. Zagorski is an excellent surgeon. He is very skilled, very conservative and very knowledgeable. He has strict requirements for both his entry into the program (such as spousal participation and support, mandatory support group attendance, etc.)and after care but all and all, this makes him a better surgeon. He lets you know from the beginning what his expectations are. I feel extremely confident in his abilities as a surgeon. He is warm and caring. He has a great sense of humor. He is very personable. Oh yeah.......he will tell you over and over and over again about the NG tube. BELIEVE him!!! He always uses it and it stays in for at least two days! Use your incentive spirometer and you might have it taken out sooner!!!!!! Trust me on this one!!!!!!!!!!!!
