Stanley Klein Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

I LOVE this man! At first, I have to admit, I wasn't too hep on him, due to the fact that the first time I saw him he looked unkempt, tired, and not exactly a model for what WLS can do for a person, however, my opinion changed quite drastically by the time my surgery time rolled around.

Dr, Klein's office staff is very proficient in what they do. The office is ran smoothly (when Dr. Klein does, at least), and there is fresh coffee available at all times, as well as water. It's also located right next to a pharmacy that caters to his patient's needs.

First thing you need to know is that if you have an afternoon appointment, bring things to keep your mind busy because he takes so much time with individual patients that he is always running late (and I do mean late!), but he is absolutely worth the wait! He is very thorough in his teachings and procedures, not wanting his patients to feel any doubts. He wants to make sure we are confident in our choices and that we know what kind of ride we are in for before AND after surgery.

I didn't get a full appreciation for his sense of humor until after the surgery and the nurse went to look at my wounds. There in bold black letters was "No Touchie the IOBAND!" Like I was gonna anyway, right? Oh, and he's referred to as "The Vampire Doctor" because he usually comes in to see his patients at 2 or 3 in the morning. (However, since he is head of Trauma at another hospital, it is understandable.) And when he does come in, he pulls up a chair and waits for you to ask him questions, if there aren't any, he'll quiz you.

All in all, I'd say my relationship with Dr. Klein is one of great respect. A respect that has flourished beyond belief!

Can we say that I love this doctor??? Lol. I dont even know where to begin. Dr.Kline is just an awesome doctor. I feel like I am being treated as an individual. Not some one who is being pushed through the mill. My first meeting with him lasted 3hrs, What MD do you know that is going to spend that much time with you? He went through everything so throughly. He adjusted things just specifically for me. There was not lets rush through this and see what happens. Poof and be gone. I dont think that my impression will change in regards to the doc. He staff is also AWESOME!!! They return phone calls the SAME DAY! Everyone is always curteous. Someone is always there to help you out with questions..Oh and if you call the doc.HE calls you back. <3 it! I mean I dont know what else to tell you other than he and the staff at Association of South Bay Surgeons is great. I will have to update the rest as I go along in this process..Oh yeah did I say I love that office? Lol.

If you are fortunate enough to have Dr. Klein, consider yourself blessed. He is truly one of the best in the field.

I have heard so many great things about Dr. Klein so he has a huge reputation to live up to. His office is very nice, modern and clean. The staff is friendly and do a great job in getting patients in and out.rnrnStefanie is the one who did all the pre-appointment stuff and is a God-send. She really goes out of her way to be helpful and you really need someone like that when you're going through this process. She really took the time to work with my insurance to figure everything out and I am sure she was put there for a purpose.rnrnThe office staff/nurses are great too. Jennifer does the appointment scheduling and handles all of your testing and paperwork once you're in to see the doctor. She is very friendly and is definitely a hard worker. She knows her job well and does it like no other! Kathie is the nurse that weighs you in and takes your vitals. She sets up for the appointments and is also really nice. She makes you feel comfortable in a, sometimes, awkward environment and always has a smile on her face.rnrnDr. Klein is a very busy man, but what surgeon isn't right? He seems to be very sincere and caring and really wants his patients to succeed. He spent several hours with me just going over everything that will happen over the course of the next several months and gave me a ton of stuff to help me in this journey. He never makes you feel rushed and really answers all of your questions and isn't afraid to be hands on with finding solutions. rnrnOverall, I can truly say that God has answered my prayers and led me to the right place. I can look back at this long journey with going back and forth with all of these doctors and I can say I am where God wants me to be.

Dr. Klein seems to be very good. His patients can't say enough good things about him. He has been known to drop everything to go and check on a patient who may be experiencing problems. He is also very motivational. He's been doing these types of surgeries for a long time and knows which ones have the best outcomes. I don't think I could have found anyone better.

The office staff is great. Some of them have worked with Dr. Klein and have changed jobs to contine to work with him because they are so loyal. There has never been a time when I haven't been treated kindly and with respect.

I have attended a couple of the support meetings that Dr. Klein's office offers and have found them to be very helpful. They are great times to answer all the questions everyone has as well as to make connections with others who are in the same place you are.

They have been very thourough in their testing and in informing me and my husband of exactly what will be done and what the risks are.

I believe that Dr. Klein is blessed because he is both a very gifted and experienced surgeon as well as being extremely concerned about his patience.

My first impression of Dr Klein was that he was a very professional man and very busy man as well. He talked to me about the surgery and made sure that I understood everything about the surgery he really care about his patients. His staff is wonderful as well they will answer any questions you have or get someone to answer questions that they can't answer. After the surgery everytime time I would see Dr. Klein he would always have a big smile on his face joking and what not, I believe I could not have picked a better surgeon for me, he has over 20 years experience and his own way of doing things which makes him stand out from the rest. he makes sure you are in the office every week after your sugery to get updates and to see if you have any new concerns that I might have regarding the healing process. I would like to thank Dr.Klein for changing my life for the better.I would recommend anyone to try Dr. Klein, you could'nt ask for a better surgeon.

I allready had a good idea about how Dr. Klein would be before I met him because my friend who had the surgery before me raves about how wonderfull he is. When I met him I knew right away he was just as great as she had said. He is very honest and I felt very comfortable with him.I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is thinking about having this surgery. Everyone in the office is very nice and they make you feel comfortable.

I LIKED DR. KLEIN RIGHT AWAY. HE HAD A SENSE OF HUMOR, BUT WAS STRAIGHT TALKING AND TO THE POINT. MY IMPRESSION DID NOT CHANGE.
HIS OFFICE STAFF IS ALWAYS HELPFUL, ALTHOUGH VERY BUSY.
IF I HAD TO PICK SOMETHING, NOT THAT I DISLIKED IT PARTICULARLY, IT WAS THAT FACT THAT HIS ROUNDS WERE IN THE EARLY A.M.

DON'T SEE HOW HE KEEPS UP THE LONG HOURS. A VERY DEDICATED MAN AND AN EXCELLENT SURGEON.
HE HAD A VERY GOOD AFTERCARE PLAN, WHERE YOU SEE EITHER HIM OR A NURSE PRACTIONER AND HAVE BLOOD DRAWN EACH WEEK UNTIL ABOUT WEEK 5 OR 6.

HE WAS VERY OPEN AND HONEST ABOUT THE RISKS OF SURGERY. I WOULD RATE HIM OVERALL AS EXCELLENT.

DR. KLEIN IS VERY FRIENDLY I GOT A GOOD FIRST IMPRESSION OF HIM WHEN I FIRST MET HIM. AND I AM BIG ON FIRST IMPRESSIONS. HE EXPLAINS EVERYTHING IN DETAIL AND IF YOU DONT UNDERSTAND SOMETHING HE WILL GO OVER IT UNTIL YOU DO. MY IMPRESSION OF HIM IS STILL THE SAME IT HASNT CHANGED. I REALLY LIKE HIM AND HIS OFFICE STAFF IS EVEN MORE WONDERFUL THEY KNOW EVERYONE BY FIRST NAME AND DONT HESITATE ON LENDING A HELPING HAND WITH INSURANCE COMPANIES. I RECOMMEND DR. KLEIN TO ANYONE WHO IS THINKING ABOUT HAVING WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY EVEN IF YOUR NOT SURE ABOUT IT THEN YOU SHOULD ATTEND THE MONTHLY SUPPORT GROUP MEETINGS. I DONT HAVE ANY NEGATIVE THOUGHTS ABOUT HIM. HE IS TOTALLY ALL ABOUT AFTER CARE YOUR IN THE OFFICE ABOUT ONCE A WEEK AFTER SURGERY NOT TO MENTION THE CARE YOU GET IN THE HOSPITAL. ONLY TWO NURSES CARE FOR YOU AFTER SURGERY AND I THINK THATS BETTER THEN SEEING A LOT OF DIFFERENT ONES. LIKE I SAID BEFORE I WOULD RECOMMEND ANYONE TO DR. KLIEN IF THERE THINKING OF SURGERY AND AS FOR ME I WILL NEVER LOOK BACK.

Yes, there is a structured aftecare program.
Dr. Klein explained every possible risk, even some I had never thought about before. He informs on everything.
I rage him A-One. The tops. The best.
Surgical competence and bedside manner are great!
I can't praise this man enough!
