Dr. Verboonen, Dr. Ponce de Leon, and all the obesitygoodbye team are excellent, They are experienced, caring and professional, they have an excellent after care program, from 1 to 10 I rate them a 10!, I have only good things to say about them. I had my surgery yesterday and I feel great. I recommend them 100%.

My sister and I are both having the surgery done. Because of our insurance, and are weight not being morbidly obese we would have to pay cash. So after research we chose the Obesity Good-bye clinin in Tijuana.
We have not been in person but we have communicated with the staff and they are great! You can reach them anytime and they are very informative, truthful and direct with all their answers. Once we have our procedure done we will update you.

I DO RECOMMEND DR. VERBOONEN AND HIS STAFF. BEFORE MY SURGERY, ALL THE DOCTORS CAME TO SEE ME AND REASSURE ME THEY WERE GOING TO DO A GOOD JOB. THERE ARE ABOUT 6 DIFFERNT DR'S IN THE SURGERY ROOM.
THE END RESULT IS FABULOUS SO FAR. I DID HAVE TO MAKE 4 TRIPS TO GET FILLED TO MY SWEET SPOT BUT AM TOTALLY HAPPY NOW. WITH 2 OF MY FILLS MY PORT WAS TWISTED AND IT WAS A DIFFICULT JOB BUT DR. PONCE DE LEON AND DR.FRIYAE ARE PROS AT TALKING SENSE INTO TWISTED PORTS!

Dr. Verboonen is very professional. Yet he is a little too serious for me. The office staff is great. The patient coordinater, the driver and nurses are all very friendly and helpful. I didn't feel that there is enought aftercare support. I may not have been as informed as a patient and I didn't ask all the questions I should have. I feel really alone in my aftercare. Of course, he is far away and that does not help. The language barriers with some of the staff could be hard to deal with. I felt the environment was clean and supportive. I had no qualms in regards to his surgical competence.

My first impression of Dr. Verboonen was that he was very much a professional. His demeanor was what I would expect of a focused surgeon on a day when he had several operations scheduled. (I am so glad that I chose him as my surgeon. I had a quick surgery, and easy recovery.) Before I was released I was checked throughly and had an appointment with a nutritionist.

I discovered when I went in for my first fill that when he is not having a "surgery day" Dr. V is very open and generous with his time and expertise. My fill was neatly done and painless. Dr. V always uses fluro, something I find very reassuring. I liked being able to see my band and how it is working.

I can't say enough nice things about his office staff. They were warm and patient, helpful over and above anything I have experienced here in California. I was impressed with Dr. V's associates as well.

I can honestly reccomend Dr. Verboonen without reservation.

Hi!! My name is Alison and I had the lap band surgery about 7 weeks ago and I´ve lost about 19 pounds and I feel great!!!. My surgeon and his staff are GREAT.. they really take care of you and all of your needs. They book your flights, they pick you up at the airport and take you to the hospital and the hotel. At the end of the procedure they take you back to the airport.My insurance didn´t cover the surgery, but Dr. Verboonen in his web page (which is www.obesitygoodbye.com) has a link to a financial institution which can help you pay for the procedure. They also have a nutritionist that gives you a meal plan that you can follow to maximize your weight loss. Plus for me this was a great option because I can´t last on any diet for more than 3 weeks and I LOVE TO EAT!!! I really recommend Dr. Verboonen and his staff .. they´re highly cualified and they helped me take the first step to a new life!!!!
