Sergio T. Mejias Bariatric Surgeon MD, FACS

Dr. Mejias is just wonderful and I would recommend him to anyone. He and his assistant, Janet, are the best when it comes to monitoring progress, meeting you fill/unfilling needs and makes you feel comfortable in everything they do. I highly recommend this Dr.. I most certainly couldn't have taken this weight off if it weren't for Dr. Mejias' expertise.

My plastic/reconstructive surgeon is Dr. Clyde Pittman in Athens, Ga.. This is another surgeon I HIGHLY recommend. He is truly an artist. He has a facility of his own so there isn't any hospital stay when having surgery under his care. He is caring and does such awesome work. Dr. Pittman IS the man in Athens, Ga. for ALL cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.

Excited to be working with Dr. Mejias! He's a surgeon at the hospital where I work, so I'm already familiar with him. That's a huge plus!!

Dr. Mejias is a very sweet, VERY competent surgeon. And the rumors are true... he is, in fact, quite pretty. :) It's like having our very own Dr. 90210 right here in Northeast Georgia!rnrnDr. Mejias' nurse, Janet, seems to genuinely care about me as a person and as a patient. She can be a little difficult to track down, and sometimes has trouble returning calls or e-mails in a timely fashion, but when she knows a matter is urgent, she gives it very quick attention. rnrnOn the whole, I'm excited to have found Dr. Mejias and his staff, and have had a very good experience working with them.

My surgeon has been amazing since day one. When I first met him at the seminar, he was very nice. He is just so caring and so thorough and that is amazing for a man in his position to care so much. I appreciate him and all his knowledge. I will highly recommend him to anyone.

When my husband and I went to our apointment My first impression of Dr. Mejias was that he was so friendly and he really explained everything about the surgery to us my husband ask me where have we met this doctor before and I said no where ,he was so friendly, he said it was like he already knew us and we knew him from long ago. now that's a good doctor and patient relationship a great doctor for future patients in the area of Athens ,GA. I would recomend Dr. Mejias to them. The office staff was and still is great I would rate Dr. Mejias on a scale of 1 - 10 as a 10 also he has great aftercare program.

Dr. Mejias put me at ease immediately. He was able to answer all of my questions and was completely confident in his abilities. I was his first lap band patient and I had absolutely no worries that my surgery would be successful. He has the best assistant possible in Janet. She truly is a jewel. I am very happy that I went to them for my procedure.rnrnThey are very conscientious about aftercare and very serious about attending support groups and taking vitamins. They make me feel very special as a person not just a patient. I would recommend Dr. Mejias and Janet Prior to anyone wishing to have not only gastric surgery, but any type of surgery.

I love my surgeon. He is excellent. His office staff is the best. Janet, his nurse, is a angel. No matter what you call about, she always takes time to answer your questions and is highly professional. They were all God sends!!!

I was impressed with Dr Mejias when I went to my first seminar. He was serious about his work. He knew exactly what he expected from his patient and he really cares about the patient. Dr. Mejias has a extensive aftercare program. He does not do the surgery and then leave you to do the rest yourself. He is there through the whole program. I recommend him and his staff hands down!!!! Janet is very patient. She is there for you when you just think that the insurance company is giving you a run around. She is very caring about the patients too.

Dr. Mejias is great! Very professional, very conservative with post-op eating. Six weeks of liquids only. He answered all my and my husband's questions thoroughly. When I had complications, (thrush, infection in incision, gall bladder, stricture) he took care of them. His extra-special nurse, Janet, is always available for questions. Wonderful support group that meets monthly.
