Dr. Scott Fisher is a quiet, confident, capeable and educated man. He took the time to explain the surgery in detail. He made me feel comfortable with my decision to have the surgery without trying to \"sell\" me on it. I work with nurses that have been with him in surgery and therefore I have complete confidence in his skill as a surgeon. He specializes in laparoscopic surgery but is also a general surgeon, vascular surgeon, and a trauma surgeon.

My first impression was - Young!rnMy second meeting I felt like he was very knowledgeable. His staff so far seem to be very nice and very busy. He has one person who starts the process of the surgery and I think the office could use another person to help. I don't know what I like least yet since I have only met him twice. He did make sure my husband or someone would be with me at home after the surgery. He feels that this is very important. We talked about the risk of surgery because that is a BIG and SCARY thing for me. He made me feel better while I was there in his office asking questions. I have since then let my mind get the better of me. I can't rate him yet, it wouldn't be fair. I do have to say so far I like him very much. He has very good \"bedside manner\" which is important to me, but I can handle jerks if they are competente in their field and Dr. Fisher seems to be very competent, not a jerk so that is a big plus.

My first impression of Dr. fisher is \"wow he's young.\" He was a very good listener and very down to earth. He made me feel comfortable asking questions. His staff is top knotch - very friendly and helpful. rnDr. Fisher came highly recommended by friends who had GB. rnrnAftercare doesn't seem to be something they've put a ton of thought into - there's a booklet they give you and you have an assigned dietician and psych person - but the booklet jumps all over the place and I think could be redone to include a lot more information and links - and layed out chronologically. I've found out more on OH and the support group since.

My first impression of Dr. Fisher was like most, wow he seems pretty young. He was also very candid in his conversation about the lap band and the RNY surgery. When I had entered his office I was dead set on the lap band surgery. There was going to be no changing my mind I thought. After listening to what he had to say about both surgeries, I left there changing my mind thinking that maybe the RNY was the better way to go. I like the fact that I didn't feel any pressure to 1.) have surgery or 2.) select one over the other. I asked a lot of questions, and I never felt rushed with his time to answer those questions for me and my husband. His office staff is very nice, although sometimes I think that they get a bit too busy, especially when it comes to times when people go on vacation.rnrnI think that anyone considering speaking with him will be very pleased that they have done so. He has great bedside manner which is so important, especially after such an important surgery. Granted you want a very talented surgeon, and my surgery went A+ but you also need someone who is going to be supportive. I feel very good about my decision to choose him as my surgeon and feel that I will be taken care of very well during my aftercare. During my stay in the hospital I had the chance to see a couple of his partners and I would say that that the best bedside manner anyone had was Dr. Nagy. He didn't want me to feel like I was being pushed out of my room since I was taking a bit longer to recover. He was funny and polite and made me feel at ease even though it was the first time I had seen him.rnrnI would highly recommend anyone who is considering having this surgery go through this office. I am VERY picky about Dr.'s as I have seen more than my fair share in my lifetime. Trust me you need not only a skilled surgeon, but you also want one that puts your mind at ease, and Dr. Fisher is just that man.

Dr. Scott Fischer was a wonderful doctor, Although I was suprided he was so young and cute. He is very nice and patient. He and his staff make you feel comfortable and they follow-up with everything. They are all so supportive and the office enviornment is very pleasant. I had no problems with my auth. They got it to go right on through no hassel. They really work for you. They explain everything in great detail and go over all the risk and facts of the surgery. There was never a day that he was supposed to be there that he wasn't when I was in the hospital. When I awoke from my surgery he was there to make sure I felt ok. They really take you by the hand.rn
