I first saw Dr Keith at his seminar on Jan 30th. He really seems to know his stuff. I had my initial consultation with him on Feb 15th, and he was very professional. The staff was very helpful and so far are first rate. He is very concerned about the patient and not just about the money. I am scheduled for a lap rny on march 6th.
Dr. Keith did a complete take down of my RNY gastric bypass surgery on November 19th, 2007. What can I say about him? Wonderful! I was so scared, I had been through so much pain from the original RNY (which Dr. Keith did NOT do on me) and had so many medical problems, Dr. Keith made me feel safe. He gave me hope at the end of a dark tunnel. rnrnThe Surgery itself went well. Recovery time in Norman Regional was hard, there was alot of pain. The day or surgery I weighed 118 pounds. Today, I weigh at just 105, BUT I feel better then I have in two years. Even with a feeding tube still inserted into my stomach, I feel better. the only foods, and I do mean the ONLY foods I was able to keep down before was Milk and Yogurt. Since my surgery, I have been able to keep down mashed potatoes, cream soups, water, tea and crystal lite. Not once have I thrown up violently, as before the take down surgery, I as throwing up on a daily basis.rnrnI am weak, sore and worn out...BUT... I know very soon I will be able to eat more healthy foods that my body will not reject and I will be able to gain the 30+ pounds I need to gain to be healthy.rnrnIf it were not for Dr. Keith, I honestly believe my life would have been a very short one. With so many hospitalizations because of the severe weight loss, I feel as if my life was slowly drifting away. I now have hope, I now have joy in my life. I am looking forward to the day I can eat REAL food and keep it down, looking forward to a healthy, happy life with my husband, children and grandchildren.rnrnDr. Keiths staff are the most amazing women I have ever met. Kind, considerate and very informed. I do not believe I have ever been treated so kindly by any Physicians staff. Not once have they made me feel uncomfortable. Very professional and very well liked. I feel very blessed to have found Dr. Ronnie Keith, he has literally saved my life.rnrnIf anyone is contemplating surgery with him, I highly recommend him. He's as good as it gets! He doesn't mince words, he's honest and open. He will discuss anything with you openly and honstly regarding the bypass surgery. With Dr. Keith, you're not just \"another patient\". You are a human being who is treated with respect and care.rnrn********************************rnrnFor those who are having problems finding Dr. Philip Floyd, please email me as we have found a phone number and address for him. Of course! I got there, and the staff was just as friendly and gentle as ever. I saw Dr. Keith in passing only as his nurse removed the tube, but he gave me a large smile and hello. The more visits I have to make to Dr. Keith, the more one actually feels like family to them, not just another patient..another number. His office girls and nurses are the very BEST I have ever come across. On a scale of 1-10, I give Dr. Keith and his office staff and nurses a big 20! They are fabulous!!rnrnI have already recommended Dr. Keith to 3 different ladies who want the RNY done. He is wonderufl, he really is. Like I said before, without Dr. Keith performing the reversal of my gastric bypass, I don't believe I would have lived another two years. God Bless Dr. Keith!
Dr Keith has a very structured program. He is very insistant about the patient following the rules, which will make your surgical experience and healing process better in the long run. He seems to be the type of surgeon that is very precise and doesn't forget to cross a \"t\" or dot an \"i\". I have full confidence in his hands. He is very experienced and is a very kind man as well.
Dr. Keith is an awesome surgeon. I am so glad I chose him. I know a lot of people that have used him and have all said wonderful things to say. He came to see me both days when I was in the hospital. rnrnWhen I first inquired about the surgery, he has all his patients attend a seminar and he speaks at the seminar and puts everything on the table about the surgery. rnrnI would recommend anyone to him!!!
Attend seminar---4/25/07rn(Seminar was not very informative to me, because I've reserached it already. Didn't meet my doc, but another one in the practice.)rnGet Insurance Approval-Yeah 5/14/07rnInitial Consult-- 6/1/07 Dr Keith was really nice, down to earth and I like him very much. His office staff leaves a little bit to be desired. I've been treated very rudely by a few girls there in the office. They treat you like you are nothing and like you shouldn't have questions. I am very put off my the way I was treated by them!rnPsych Consult--DONE-I am cleared to start my shrinking.rnNutrition Consult-- DONE!-Good to go...rnPhysical Endurance Consult--6/21/07--DONErnPulmonary Function Consult--DONE!-Great healthy, strong lungs!rnPreOp Orientation-- 6/21/07 DONE and ready to start the 10 day diet. rn10Day Diet Class-- 6/21/07-Done and some of the stuff is great, some is nasty!!rnPreOp Discussion-- 6/29/07Done and over withrnSurgery-- 07/02/07-DONErnGO HOME 7/4/07--Yeah home in my own bed-HEAVENrnrnDr. Keith was great and so was the nursing staff at Norman Regional for the most part. I was pretty satisfied with my stay and my care.
I love Dr Keith!. He is a very nice and caring man. He runs an excellent program. He is the top bariatric surgeon in the state of Oklahoma without a doubt! He even always remembers to tell me to say Hi to my hubby that he did 3 yrs ago. He knows us by name when he see us out of a medical setting. Oklahoma Weight Loss Options is top-notch in my opinion. They have a wonderful caring staff that tries to meet all of your needs pre and post-op. Future patients should know that they are a VERY busy office (as the best often is).
07/27/05 I had my first appointment with Dr. Ronnie Keith. He was very professional and got right to business. I had my list of questions (thanks to the help of this website) and He thoroughly answered each one. He has put together a great team and from talking to him I can tell that He does not settle for the status quo. He and his team for the last three years have been constantly improving their techniques. He stated that todate they have not lost a patient. Though there is always that chance, and their complication rate is 10%. He also told me that He has his own section of a floor at the Norman hospital for only his patients. The same nurses work that floor and keep a good watch over wls patients. rnrnHis staff was very courteous and genuine. rnrn02/14/07 I'm back! I have been following Dr. Keith through this website since July of 2005. I met with him again this date and think that I have my insurance all ironed out and I am ready for this surgery. I really think Dr. Keith is the best!
