Roche Featherstone Bariatric Surgeon M.D.,F.A.C.S.

I just met my surgeon a little while ago and he is a wonderful man. He as the best bed side manners, very caring about you as a person and not just a patient. He is on top of his stuff he was the one who found out I had a bunch of ulcers in my stomach and that is why my surgery was delayed. I will fill out more as I get closer to my date Sept. 8th 2010.

My thoughts & impression of my doctor Dr. Featherstone is he is a very nice man, no bull shit gets to the point, tells you the best surgery to have that would fit you.
What you should know about Dr. Featherstone is he will tell you his thoughts.
Over all I like him. Outdoors type guy, so I'm I. I'm not like most women.
The rest have to let you know later about him.
Other wise very freindly, nice will talk with you.
I give him the OKAY!

Dr. Featherstone is the best in my book. I have known him since the summer of 2002. He did both my cancer surgeries. One in 2002 and then again in 2005.
So after those surgeries I had no reason to look any further for this surgery. He had concerns since I was a two time cancer survivor and insisted I wait until he thought it would be safe for me.
This was proof to me that he truly cared about my health and safety. I have never mentioned his name to anyone including my doctors in Cadillac and heard a bad word.
I owe my life and now my new life to Dr. Featherstone.

Doctor Featherstone is such a joy to work with. I had met him several years prior on an ER visit that required immediate surgery. His manner and true care was evident even in some major pain. When I decided to go with a WLS and saw he was part of the group that would do them in my town i knew whom I wanted doing my surgery. rnrnThe entire staff at Grand Traverse Surgery is awesome they make the decision much easier to handle as they truly want to educate you so you can make informed decisions. rnrnThe care I have received to date has been great from the hospital stay to the follow ups and the willingness to have any question i have answered. The only thing that I would like to see improved is the food/menu descriptions and amounts so that it is easier to follow while trying to adjust to the new you and feels that come with it.rnrnThe decision for WLS was long in coming for me but beside the way that i feel and the care that has been given I would recommend Doctor Featherstone to ANYONE.

At my consultation I found Dr.Featherstone informative and friendly. I was fully imformed about what to expect and do by Dr. Featherstone and his staff (which are equally as awesome!) They recommend that you follow their complete program-info,monthly support group, friendly and helpful staff, you also have internet support (with other patients just from their bariatric practice) to help you with your new life-style. You will see Dr.Featherstone and Mary Kay, (his wonderful assistant) after surgery and recovery because they will continue to monitor, encourage, educate, and do whatever they can to help you become successful with your weight-loss tool (your surgery). Its been 7 months since surgery and I would highly recommend not only the Lapband surgery but Dr. Featherstone as well. Both have made a significant difference in helping me shed not only pounds but conditions that I had to take medication for!

Dr. Featherstone is the best! I felt completing at ease with him. He was very caring and wants to help those of us battling obesity. He is such a great person and I am glad to be a patient of his.rnrnThanks Dr. F!!!

I was one of doctor Featherstones first lap band patients .He is a great doctor i would recomend him to anyone looking for a good surgeon.He keeps you informed to what is going on .Hie office staff are all very nice people.

Doctor Featherstone is the best! I went thru the whole surgery day knowing I was in the best hands and was not scared worried or upset. It is so nice to know that your doc is there for you. He has a fantastic bedside manner. The staff at GTS is fantastic too. Aftercare is a big part of there service as they said they are with me for life. Doctor Featherstone told me all the risks not sugar coated either. He tells you as it is which is what I like in a doctor. I do not think there is a better surgeon or team out there.
