    Dr. Richard Alford is board certified in general surgery with continuing advanced training in laparoscopic bariatric surgery. He completed medical school at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He is an experienced bariatric surgeon who performs laparoscopic gastric bypass, adjustable gastric banding and vertical sleeve gastrectomy as well as revisions. Dr. Alford is a Fellow of the American College of Surgery and a Member of the American Society of Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery. He serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery with the Texas A&M University Health Science Center, and has previously served as Chief of Medical Staff at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.

    I had a previous surgery (non WLS) with Dr Alford and he was great. He suggested that I do this surgery because I cam through the other one so well.

    He was very nice well dressed Joann in his office is very nice always answers my questions he stesses thee importance of aftercare and I rate him a 10
