She was wonderful. Attentive, compassionate and concerned. Spent all the time I needed at appoointments and in the hospital.rnShe is associated with a very comprehensive, structured program for both pre and post op issues. She attends information meetings and is available for calls-day or night.

Dr. Wolf seems very nice, and very out spoken, She tells you how it is, Seems to have a good bed side manner also. She really knows her stuff. I really like her. The office staff is also very nice as far as I can tell. Only been there once. I think a surgical competence is first and far most the important, but bedside manner is a plus in my book, and she seems to have both. I would rate her 10 on a scale 1-10. They have a very structured after care program.

Dr. Wolff is very professional. She went over the surgical procedure thoroughly. The center has a staff with a dietician, therapist, and nurse who all met with me. I was given the amount of protein that I need to eat each day and information on eating the first month after surgery, and thereafter, plus what vitamins I would need to take. I was told to eat three meals a day,and eliminate sugar from my diet.
The therapist recommended getting couseling which I have started.
Dr. Wolff emphasized the need for exercise wants me to exercise 20-30 minutes each day.
She discussed the medication I am taking and wants me to stop Naprosyn after the operation.
I found the whole staff to be very helpful and liked them all.
Surgical competence is top most but a good bedside manner is always welcome.

Dr. Renee Wolff is a good surgeon and my impression of her stayed the same as when I first met her. She has a caring and compassion bedside manner. Dr. Wolff addressed the risks of surgery with honesty and I was well aware of what I was getting myself into.

The office staff at Casco Bay Bariatric Surgery Center is excellent. The nurse, Sharon called to check on me and follow up with the doctor and got back to me immediately.

They have a very structured aftercare program and support meetings every two weeks.

Overall, I would rate the team as excellent!

I rather have a good competent surgeon then a good bedside, but in this case I got both!

I do however have a comment about the senior resident who was covering for Dr.Wolff, post operately. He didn't check my stomack and incisions and it was found out later that I was internally bleeding. He could of seen that my looking at my stomack, as I had massive bruising down my left hip and pelvic area. I went home on a low blood level of 26. They could of found the internal bleeding before I went home, as when I got home I started to feel very week and was concern about the massive brusing, as was my family. I knew that I was going to bruise alot, as I bruise easy, but even the nurse stated that she hadn't seen such bruising ever in a gastric bypass patient. That issue, I believe could of been addressed differently. Again this is my personal impression of one complication I had. I could of had a lot more complications, but didn't, so I am grateful, if that is all I lost was some blood. Otherwise, my stay at MMC was good and most of the nursing, lab, and dietary staff was caring and compassion.

Thank you Dr. Wolff, MMC and the CBBC team, especially Sharon

Dr. Wolf is the most to the point doctor I have ever dealt with. She does not mince words and tells you exactly the way it is. She is also a great advocate for WLS and will the staff at the Bariatric Center will do all they can do to help you with insurance approval; they are not fans of the insurance companies policies against the surgery because they believe in the benifits and results. Dr. Wolf is most definately kind, but I would rather have an "all-business" surgeon which she is first and foremost. Also, she is progressive and advanced in her techniques and the equipment she uses at Maine Med. I sort of fell into her as she was new when I entered the program, but I feel that I got extremely lucky and would recommend her highly to anyone considering this surgery in Maine. Ofcourse, the Bariatric Center program is superior to most of the programs I looked at as well and Maine Med seems very up on this surgery which is important.

She was very caring and appears as though she will have a geat bedside manner. The staff at the bariatric center are great. The toughest part for me was the social worker. However, every patient coming in typically has to do something prior to surgery. Some need weight loss, others needs further testing, and some are asked to get counciling. I was one of those people. Glad I have a person lined up now to help me with the changes coming ahead. They have a dietician that explains the diet you will need to follow after surgery. You even have to take a test to prove you know what to do with the diet. Dr. Wolff is very strict about exercising daily for at least 20 minutes and they require you do so prior to surgery. It took a while to get use to but actually feels really good now to do that. The bariatric center has a very structured aftercare program and great support group meetings (they have 2 a month so you can attend the one that best meets your schedule. They have an educational class prior to seeing the doctor and they explain the risks as well as how the surgery is done. They also explain the benefits as well. From what I have heard from other patients Dr. Wolff is very good at what she does. I cannot state that as of yet since I have not had the surgery. However, so far so good!

She is awesome.

It hasn't.

Very helpful - although the office isn't open very often.

There is NOTHING that I don't like.

She is kind and caring. A wonderfully qualified and skilled surgeon.

The program is very structured. Aftercare is considered extremely important to her.

See above.

Very point blank. She doesn't sugarcoat anything. You know what you are getting yourself into well ahead of time.

I give her a 10 out of 10!

Both her bedside manner and her skill as a surgeon are awesome.

she seemed very professional. The staff is friendly and helpful. There was nothing I didn't like about her. There is a very strong commitment to aftercare.

My first impression of Dr. Wolff was she was very sincere. I came to learn she was just who she represented herself to be, a very caring doctor. Her office staff was always helpful and caring as well. She tells it like it is, which sometimes you may not like but need to hear it---like excercise, get your fluids in etc.. Future patients should know she will do all she can for them and she is there for them. Aftercare is a must and there are follow-ups that must be kept. Very upfront on the risks of the surgery. I would give her a 100 percent approval rate. Both surgical competence and bedside manner was great---it was an overall wonderful experiance and I could not imagine having it done by anyone else. This of course is my own opinion and I am not referring or recommending anyone to go through this surgery or go with this practice---that is an individual decision that one has to make on ones own.
