1/18/07. I'm really happy to see the office grow. Dr. Nish and the new surgeon are great additions. There isn't anyone I'd trust my life to other then them. Dr. Vohra truly is awesome.rnrn5/23/04 - It is almost one year, and there is still nothing I can do or say to thank Dr. Vohra, Amy, Peggy, Danielle, Jill and his newer staff. I am updating this profile because I went shopping for new suits and shirts and am still amazed at the sizes I was able to buy. God Bless Them All.rnrnrnrnrnrnMet with his staff on 1/24 and will see him on 1/29. Just nervous thats allrnrnFinally, on 4/29/03 I got a date. The office is great. rnrnThe program they put you on is so thorough you almost feel fearless. The support staff is awesome, I think if it wasnt for Peggy and Daniel I'd just give up. And now Amy. They're the best. And he's the best. I very excited about having this done.rnrnI have to say, I lost 30lbs so far and at first wasnt happy with optifast, but I understood that for safety he wants you to be as small as possible. But in reality, it forces you to make better choices about food, eat protein to cheat instead of junk and exercise. Overall I think it is an ingenius way of getting patients ready for the change of lifestyle after the surgery.
He was very nice, a bit reserved. Very professional. My impression of him did not change over time.rnHis office staff is very helpful and supportive.rnI can't say there was anything that I didn't like about him. He's one of the best. He strongly emphasizes the importance of aftercare. He has a structured aftercare program ran by professional staff.rnIn addressing the risks of surgery, he was straight up with no chasers.rnFrom one to ten, I give him a 10.rnSurgical competence and bedside manners were absolutely great.
Well when I first met Dr. Vorha he seemed to me to be a very good surgeon who wants the best for his patients. I have just started out seeing him, I am one of his new patients. so overall I do not really have much to say about him except that I know deep down he will help me with this weight loss problem. His office staff is great, they are very understanding and they are there to tell you the right thing to do to get ready for the rest of your life. As of right know I really can't say anything bad about him I am new to him. With speaking to him and going to the meetings he does talk about alot of things and he does emphsize that there is no race to loosing weight. Going to one of the meetings he did address the risks very clearly. I do not really know this doctor so much I am a new patient of his but my feelings about him are strong and confident and that he will do whatever it takes to fight this diease for anyone of his patients.
Dr Vohra is very thorough with each patient's history. He spends a great deal of time looking over all of the tests you must take pre-op, as does Amy Noe, his nurse from SNCH. Along with him, his office staff is very professional, thorough with all matters, kind and supportive. In time you begin to think of Dr. Vohra, Dr. Nishimura, and the entire office staff as family. He has a pre-op and monthly post-op support group. We share problems, accomplishments, and discuss menus and diet and exercise tips. I am very happy that Dr. Vohra was my surgeon and recommend him to anyone. I have no complaints about him. I am one very, satisfied patient.
My surgery was March 2004. As I look back, I am extremely grateful that I chose Dr. Vohra for my surgery. He is a brillant surgeon that is serious when it comes to saving lives. His staff is dedicated and supportive. If it wasn't for Allison's extreme efforts in dealing with the insurance aspect of this journey. I may not have had the surgery at all. Dr. Vohra was always available throughout the process of my pre-op and post-op. Although this surgery and recovery was far from a walk in the park, I knew that I had the best of care.
I had heard from people who use him that his is very quiet with out much bedside manner. Not a problem, I just wanted him to be an excellent surgeon.
I met with Dr. Vohra and over all I find him to be a very pleasant man who spoke to me with concern and respect. He went over everything, we also discussed options. What type of surgery, what would be good for me, etc. Coming away from the meeting, what ever he decides, I have every confidence in him.
1/30/6 now that I am post op, I can say he is fantastic. He did a wonderful job on my Lap incisions and took his time to make sure that adhesions I had in me were cleaned out.
I am so very happy with Dr. V
Doctor Vohra is Excellent and the rest of his team!! I have had no problems thank god. He is very good at what he does. If i had a choice of doing the RNY again i would.
The office staff is very supportive and very kind. Amy, maureen and the rest of the staff are great. The only thing is that they take long when your in the waiting room! lol!
The aftercare has been ok so far. once you are home after surgury you get to see the doctor a week later then a month later. I have not reached the three month appointment yet.
Doctor Vohra anwsered all my questions about the risk of the surgury and after. If your gonna get this done its you decision and you should do it in good faith and know the consequences!
I rate Dr. Vohra a very good Dr. to choose!
Bedside manner is ok, I did not see him much after just twice, Dr. Nishamura, and Dr. Berellini seen me after. Surgically he is a great Doctor i have healed well. Over all he is very good at what he does.
Dr. Vohra has been a symbol of professionalisim throughout my case. Dr. Nishimura has also been attentive and concerned. Both visited me daily at my stay in the hopsital right after the surgery. Both inquired as to how I was feeling and followed up to make sure that I was walking and performing my breathing exercises. Both have been blunt with me, with regards to the possible risk/hazards involved with surgery. Although Dr. Vohra doesn't have the greatest bedside manner, he is absolutely an excellent surgeon and DOES care about his patients. Dr. Nishimura does have good bedside manner and he is a little more of a people person. Overall, I would rate Dr. Vohra and Dr. Nishimura a 9 out of 10. (everyone has room for improvement).
