Great Bedside manner. A gentle man interested in me and my situation.
The office staff is great. If you leave a message they WILL call you back. If they say they will call you they WILL call you.
Patient folks that answer all your questions and make sure you understand what's going to happen. What I liked best about Dr. Anez is he remembered me when I went back for my orders. All the people he sees everyday and he remembered my face.
He may seem aloof at first but is far from it. He cares and is in high demand so he doesn't have time to sit and chat but he will answer every question you have as long as it takes. He does emphasize aftercare but also makes the patient aware of his/her own responsibility in taking good care of themselves. He is giving the tool we need to respect it and take care of it. Regarding the risks of surgery he explains all that COULD possibly happen. It's his duty to us to do so but he is also about all the good. Dr. Anez is super. For his lucky patients he is surgically competent with great bedside manner.
I must say that Dr. Anez is an amazing and very pleasant man. He was so caring after my surgery and actually made me laugh. I would recommendate him to anyone who is interested in have bypass surgery. His staff are very caring (especially Gabby), I look forward to my continuous follow-up with him and his staff. Dr. Anez ia a very quiet and reserved man, who is straight to the point and thorough in what to expect. He's also open to any questions you might have and takes greast care with his patienets. Iwould recommend him to anyone who needed a bariatric surgeon.
My impression is still the same.
The staff is very easy going (especially Maria) and knows just how to make you feel at ease.
There is nothing that I dislike about Dr. Anez nor his staff.
Ask whatever questions are on your mind even if you think it's a simple one.
Dr. Anez emphasizes much to utilize what you have been taught by the dietitician and himself to better your recovery.
Yes there is a structured before and afteracre program.
Explained up front, during, and after surgery.
Overall, I would rate Dr. Anez a 9 out of 10. He truly knows his stuff.
Dr. Anez was warm and compassionate. I had already done an extensive amount of reading, talking and general research, but Dr. Anez took the time to ensure that I fully understood the journey I was about to begin. The office and medical staff are outstanding. Maria is especially key in my overall satisfaction with my medical relationship with Dr. Anez. This was a a life changing event and I have no regrets, but to be sure, this is something that needs to be entered into with both eyes wide open.
My first meeting with Dr. Anez was cordial but I could tell that he had explained the procedure with many, many patients. He went through each step throughly and asked if I had questions after each step.A few times I had to ask him to repeat something because his accent is fairly strong. I work at the hospital where he does his surgery and he is highly thought of by the hospital staff. I was drawn to Dr. Anez because of his experience and reputation.
Dr.Anez my first impression of him was he was lade back little bite quit, but I had brought him out of that he is nice he know what his talking about. We both had funny jokes about suff but,Dr.Anez his a cool cat.! His staff was quit but lade back with nice smiles. Everthing was cool.Future patient should know that there a $200 pression fee for what I relly dont know.Dr.Anez had a culb call the stapple culb he had also told me about the risk about the surgry but that life. Overall Dr.Anez is a 10 rate he have bedside manner.
Had my first visit Friday Oct 1, 2004 and thought Dr. Anez was great. The visit was short and sweet...to the point. He describes the surgery in detail and then asks if you have any questions..next step..pay the money and have them start working on the insurance company's approval. I had the approval on Tuesday Oct 5, 2004...talk about quick work. The girls in the office called me and we set up a surgery date and time to come in and get the orders for all the testing and nutritional counseling. So far, love them right up!!!
My first impression of Dr. Anez was he appeared to be a nice person and after speaking with him I noticed he's a man of few words. He explained the surgery he performs and answered questions I had, but he was very direct.
His office staff was okay and appear to be a bit overworked and should inform patients before they arrive of the $200.00 processing fee you must pay before they'll submit your paperwork to your insurance company. I was not informed of this before hand and didn't know anything about it until after my consultation. I think this is unfair to patients who may not be in the predicament to pay that fee at that time and thank God I'm one who was able to do so, but I can imagine some people are blindsided by this.
During my consultation Dr. Anez did emphasize the risks of having the surgery which I appreciated and he did touch a little on things I will and won't be able to do after surgery (not much but he did mention a few things).
Future patients should know that he appears very competent but I get the impression his bedside manner is lacking, but that's okay with me because I'd rather have a doctor who's extremely competent. I also gathered he does have a aftercare program (the Staple Club) and he recommends you attend before surgery and afterwards.
