I Feel Dr Samuels has informed me of all things good and bad with this procedure. I really like his staff and feel they are all very helpfull.
They do stress group meetings and support group for better success and understanding things you maybe going through after and before your surgery.
They seem to have all basis covered for before and after care I really feel very confident in The Dr and his staff.

DOCTOR NORMAN SAMUELS WAS VERY INFORMATIVE.AND VERY STERN IN ALL HIS EXPLANATION ON THE WHAT TO DO AMD NOT TO DO.THE STAFF WAS WONDERFUL AND HELPFUL THANK GOD FOR THEM.I WOULD RECOMMEND DOCTOR SAMUELS TO ANYONE WHO IS INTERESTED IN WLS.HE ALSO HAS A WONDERFUL FOLLOW UP PLAN THAT EMPHASISES ON GOOD NUTITION AND EXERCISE .HE HAS CONSTUCTED AND AFTERCARE PROGRAM WITH A PSYCOLOGIST AND DIETICIAN THAT ARE VERY GOOD IN GETTING WHERE YOU WANNA GO.DOCTOR SAMUELS DOES ADDRESS THE RISKS AND DANGERS RELATED WITH THE SURGERY.I RATE DR. SAMUELS AND HIS TEAM 100% , LIKE I SAID BEFORE DR. SAMUELS IS STERN AND VERY SERIOUS ABOUT HIS PATIENTS . HIS BEDSIDE MANNER IS GREAT BUT YOU BETTER BE WALKING WHEN HE COMES AROUND.OVERALL I CAN SAY THAT GOD HAS BLESS DR, SAMUELS WITH A WONDERFUL GIFT AND HE IS CHANGING MANY LIVES I LOVE YA DOCTOR SAMUELS.

so far so good. His staff is very helpful.He also seems strict, but some people really need that.

My first impression was that he knew what he was doing. My impression has gotten better his staff is excellent and from research that I have done he seems to be one of the most experienced. He did stress that aftercare is very important in order to achieve goals we each set for ourselves. He address the risk of the surgery in a very clear manner and answered all questions effectively and upfront. There was definitely no beeting around the bush.

Dr. Samuels was very nice, was able to explain and answer all questions I had. I felt really comfortable taking with him; he was very calm and gave me all his time and attention during my consult.

His staff is excellent; and Sandra has been my guardian angel, she has help me and she continues helping me with my appeal.

18 Months Post-Op - well, I have lost a whole person, and kept it off. At about 10 months post-surgery, my weight settled at 120lbs, and it hasn't been 3 lbs heavier or lighter than that in almost a year. I eat whatever I want or crave, but I find I crave healtier choice - fruits, veggies, fish and meat. I still splurge on the occasional dessert or eggs rolls or burritos, but I eat far less and still feel staisfied. I still highly reccomend Dr. Samuels and his staff. They gave me a new life, new energy and a happy happy family!


4 1/2 months post op

I think Dr. Samuels is the greatest surgeon in the world because his program is not just the surgery. He has support group meetings every other week that his entire office attends (nutritionist, two psychologists, PA, nurses, office staff- everyone!). The meetings are open to anyone who is considering the surgery, has had the surgery as well as family and friends who have questions or want to lend support.

I researched every board-certified bariatric surgeon in Fla, and even through Ft Lauderdale is a 4 hour drive for me, I chose Dr Samuels because he has the most expereince, and because his staff was the most helpful pre-op - they walked me through the entire process. They are great post op too.

I am 4 1/2 months post-op now, and down over 75 pounds! I see Dr Samuels once a month and attend support group once a month as well. He is extremely nice but appropriately firm- about things like exercise and following your eating program.

I feel great, and I would HIGHLY HIGHLY reccomend him to anyone - he even has patients from the Carribean Islands. He has a special pre and post op program for out-of-towners which is great.

I met Dr. Samuels in October 2001. He has a wonderful personality and he is very caring. His staff is awsome.

I liked him immediately. He was quick to answer questions, was patient and soft spoken.

The office staff is excellent, especially Sandra, the person in charge of insurance benefits.


Sturctured and continued aftercare are a must commitment.





He was honest to the point and provided supporting dating in writing.

I met Dr.Samuels back in November and was comfortable with him immediately. I was glad to see the small office and friendly office staff. I started my journey with another surgeon in Ft.Lauderdale, but it turned out he didnt take my insurance, so I then found Dr. Samuels. The difference in these two offices is amazing. With the first surgeon, I would immediately be put to voice mail when I called about anything, but with Dr.Samuel's staff I have never once had to leave a message and wait for a return call. It seems that whenever I call, someone answers and is able to help me right away. They processed my insurance paperwork so quickly, and I was approved in about six days. Dr. Samuels himself seemed so down to earth and pleasant. He certainly knows his stuff.
