I haven't met her yet, Ive been working with a Nurse Practitioner so far, but from what I've heard Dr. Pecquex is great. I will update after my pre-op consult on September 15!
My first impression of Dr. Pecquex was she very tough and serious but she is very serious, funny, very informational, and compassionate. The staff at the WLS their GREAT! I feel very comfortable with having Dr. Pecquex performing my surgery and feel that I am in greats hands.
Simply stated Dr. Pecquex is a saint. She has been my surgeon since 2004 and I wouldn't go anywhere else, even when I had to convert from my failed lapband to gastric bypass, she was the only one I would let touch me. No question is too big or too small. Any concern you have she is always there for you. She fights for her patients, especially with those nasty insurance companies that just want to save a buck or two instead of doing what is best for the patient. She truly cares about her patients, knows them on a one on one basis, and this shows.
Dr. Pecquex is part of the Center of Weight Control at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Boston MA. She and her staff are the most knowledgable and helpful that I have ever met.They go over everything with you and make you aware of all the risks. Aftercare is a big thing with her and her staff, They provide you with all the resources and are always available to answer your questions.
Overall I rate very highly.
WELL WHEN I FIRST ME TDR PECQUIX I THOUGHT THAT I WAS GETTN A DATE BUT I HAD TO DO TWO MOER TESTS AND GET TO 290 AT THAT POINT I WAS 295 ADN AS OF 5/12/09 I AM 288.9 SO I LOST 7, I KNOW HAVE A DATE I ABSOLUTELY FEEL SO COMFORTABLE WITH DR PECQUIX SHE SAT BESIDE ME AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO ME AND MADE ME UNDERSTAND EVERY RISK OR SITUATION TO BE AWARE. AND THAT MADE ME VERY COMFORTABLE.
I have had the best of care possible throught Dr. Nicole Pecquex and St. Elizabeth hospital in Boston. She has been more than my surgeon, she is my hero. She truly cares about me and has been very kind to me and I've been able to share my life with her not just be her patient. Kudos to Nicole. She rules!
Dr. P was fabulous! She not only helped me achieve my goals, but her entire staff did too! She fought to get me the best care possible! She always put my best interests ahead of everything else -- including my own selfish thoughts! No question was too small or silly. She was concerned from day one about making me healthier - never looking down on me for being a \"failure\" for being obese. Best decision I ever made -- just wish I had done it sooner!
I have met Dr. Peckuex 3 times and she has been very pleasant and accommodating to my otherwise unusual concerns. When searching for a surgeon my main concern was to find a female doctor. I am a bit bias and think that a female doctor would be more understanding of my needs. I have not yet had the surgery but from my experiences with her so far I believe that it will be a great experience.
