My first appointment with my surgeon made me quickly confident about him. He treated me like à real person and not just like another obese.
Dr. Christou is a genuine professional. The hospital has been doing gastric surgery for 30 years. They have a complete after care program including nutritionist and Nurse Clinician. Dr. Christou has a huge waiting list and as a result his time is very precious. Even though I am an RN who researched this surgery he took our complete appointment to explain the risks and benifits.Dr. Christou is the top in his field.
I found Dr. Christou a very kind and caring man. He explained the surgery and its risks. His secretary Mary was very helpful and caring. I know I'm going to be in good hands.
I found Dr.Christou to be very helpful. He gave me all the time I needed and answered all my questions. Other comments will be posted as we get closer to my date, and we meet again.
when i saw him i like him right away he was

Dr. Christou is a very competent surgeon with an excellent reputation
He was very upfront about the risks associated with this surgery. He also told me that my risks are great if I stay obese.
He has a very structured after-care program which includes a visit to the Bariatric clinic every two weeks with visits to a dietician.
My sister, Susan and I met with Dr. Christou in November. He was very patient and answered all our questions. He took the time to explain the procedure and what to expect. He didn't rush us or think our question were silly. When we left we felt like we were in good hands and heading to a new thinner life. His assistant Mary was very nice, she seemed very kind and patient too. Dr. Christou is going to do both of us on the same day, same room, that way we can support each other through it all and we will truely understand what the other is feeling and going through.
My first impression of Doctor Christou was good. He take all the time I need for understand very well the surgery and all problems could happen after.
The girls who work for him she's very nice her name il Mary and she have a lot of job first of all because the hospotal I will go is university hospital and they are very busy and just for having appointment that toke me 6 months. But I will tell you more after the surgery.
Dr. Christou is a very quiet man. He looked like a very understanding man and after e few meetings he is really one. The more I know him the more I like him. His staff is first class and all the others at The Royal Victoria in Montreal.
The only little thing is that he is very busy, so his time his precious. But even if it could be long before you see him, it's worth it.
The Royal Victoria have a complete program and an excellent support group. Before you have surgery, you have to attend an information meeting and there, you'll learn all about surgery and also you'll meet the hospital staff with whom you'll be in contact while you're there.
I would give him a big 10 ! He is extremely competent and human.
