Dr. Montgomery Cox, Bariatric Surgeon Montgomery Cox, MD, FACS, FASMBS is an experienced bariatric surgeon with the Surgical Weight Loss Program at Frye Regional Medical Center in North Carolina. He completed his undergraduate studies at Francis Marion University and earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina where he also completed his residency. Dr. Cox is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (FASMBS). He is a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and the North Carolina Medical Society.
