He is very to the point, but does an amazing job of giving you easy to understand information about what to expect, what I will feel and was very caring after surgery. He had walked in to check on me the day after surgery and I was having a very bad, painful morning and he was very kind and had the nurses do something differently and even emptied out my drain bulb! I would have never expected a doctor to do something like that. I am so glad that I put myself in his very capable hands.

Dr. Tyner is a VERY nice man! He's done surgery on my brother-in-law, and will soon perform surgery on my sister-in-law, and myself! He is very knowledgeable and experienced in his field of work. I will have surgery on June 14, 2011, and having Dr. Tyner as my surgeon really helps me not to freak out....I'm in good hands!

My experience with Dr. Tyner has been nothing but wonderful. He is a very intelligent, highly competent surgeon and I felt instantly comfortable in his presence. He takes the time to answer your concerns and is genuinely interested in your progress. He has a great bedside manner and a wonderful sense of humor. I highly recommend him as a surgeon as well as all the members of his staff. I cannot say enough good things about him.

Dr. Michael Tyner is a wonderful and compassionate surgeon. I think he is the best and he has performed stomach ulcer surgery, gallbladder surgery and just recently the VSG on me. His bedside manner is great. I just can not say enough good things about him and his staff. I would definitely go to him again and would recommend him because it sure helps to go into surgery knowing that you have complete faith in the surgeon. He is very knowledgeable and has time for your concerns and questions. This is my personal opinion of him because he has been such a great doctor for me.

Dr. Tyner was referred to me by another physician six years ago when I had a hernia repaired. I loved him then, and I still do. He is an excellent doctor with a fantastic reputation. I know other doctors from out of state have gone to him for surgery for themselves. He's one of the best in my opinion. So when I was considering wls, I was so pleased to find out that he would be able to do it. I have several allergies, which required special attention, and he and his staff have been wonderful in helping me navigate through the entire process. He is both an excellent surgeon and a very kind and compassionate man. I would highly recommend him.

first impression- was he was very much out of the box surgeon like a designer- meant as a compliment since I also am a designer. Very analytical in a good way. Staff seems very hurried and seems like a busy practice. I have 4 surgeries needed- Vertical sleeve, Giant hiatal hernia repair= stomach pulled thru diaphram and also larger complex umbilical hernia with abdominal flaps needed due to incision from colon resection 11/08. So, I feel Dr. Tyner is a genius and very left brained which is what I think this situation calls for as both hernias are needing surgery asap. And.. I feel I am an unusual case and this requires a very indepth thinking kind of Doc. Everyone that I have spoke to has spoke highly of his skill in all my areas.
Surgery was amazing all 7 procedures- had hidden hernia underneath other hernia and Dr had to do gastric as stomach folded in middle. My surgeon said he would have like to hit a home run everytime but he was sorry--- funny its my opinion he hit a GRAND SLAM this time! God let me pick the right guy- As I said "he's a genius".
