Michael Todd Bariatric Surgeon M.D.,F.A.C.S.

I had talked to several people who had Dr. Todd as their surgeon before I actualy met him and his staff. I have to say that not one person had anything bad to say, so I went in with a really good impression. I was not let down!! Dr. Todd and his staff are great, they are caring, willing to listen, willing to take all of my crazy phone calls with questions. I couldn't of ask for a better office!

I had my 1st appointment with Dr. Micheal Todd on 9-19-02, my first impression was that he is a very caring Christian caring man. He seems to care deeply about each individual patient. His office staff was very personable as well...the overall office was very busy the day of my appointment and there were a few interuptions, but all were understandable.

He explained the surgery pre/post op very well and answered any questions I had. Overall I would rate him a 9 so far:):) I look foward to a surgery date with Dr. Todd.

If I could of profiled a DR it would of been DR Todd. M y first impression of him was he was very schooled on this procedure and he talked in our terms and didnt look down on anyone. HES GREAT!!!! Hes been there for me and everyone that Ive spoken to.

I felt comfortable with Dr. Todd. I was grateful for his honesty regarding some of the less "glamorous" aspects of the surgery and life as a post-op.

Dr. Todd and his staff were excellent to deal with and so helpful with all of my questions. Now I am just 1 1/2 weeks away from surgery and am even more appreciative of everyone. He is very busy, but the staff is so helpful and concerned about me and how I am doing. I cannot imagine going through this surgery with anyone else.

I really like Dr Todd & his team. They are very nice & infomative. He gave me a huge hug on my first visit and i felt like they all really listened to me.....the nurses the doctor the whole staff. I can not wait. I am very satisfied with my choice in surgeon.

Dr. Todd was so nice the first time I met him. He really took his time to listen to you and answer all of your questions. I did not feel rushed or uneasy at all. He seemed very genuinely intersted in me and my concerns. In fact, the entire office staff was so nice and friendly, and it was one of the best times I ever had at a doctor's office! His practice also has an ongoing support group with meetings you can attend. Everyone has been wonderful helping me out, and I feel confident to have Dr. Todd perform my surgery!

Dr. Todd is a phenomenal man! What struck me most was when he introduced himself as "Mike Todd." NOT the usual stuffy "DOCTOR" thing. Which I actually love for doctors to do because, though not a medical doctor, I do have the title of Doctor, and I like to throw that back to doctors who have gotten above their raising! Dr. Todd is very spiritual, very warm, very caring. I could go on for hours about how much he makes you feel like you are the most important person in the world to him. He makes all of us a member of his family and he tells you right from the get-go that we are now joined at the hip and there is no separation allowed! LOL He's truly amazing! My impression has changed from what it first was, my first impression was that he was a pretty great guy but now, obviously I know he is MUCH more than that. His office staff is a fascinating mix of very loving, caring people! They are all committed to helping you ANY TIME you need it! They are referred to, lovingly, as the Todd Squad! I can't say there is anything about him I don't like. Except maybe that when he gets sick he doesn't treat himself with the same respect that he does his patients! They come first for him! His aftercare program is terrific. Like he says, "we are joined at the hip" and he means that from day one until the end of time! He is extremely thorough in providing you with the information you need, the risks involved and what course of actions he will take to help you become as healthy as you can be. Overall I give him an 'A', taking off the + because he needs to take care of himself when he is sick. After all, even though we are his 'patients' we can all wait a couple of extra days, if necessary, if it means we can have our new best friend healthy! As far as surgical competence and bedside manner, having grown up in a medical household, I admit that I am used to being pampered and I can tell you that Dr. Todd is TOPS in both area's!

Before I had even met Dr.Todd I had heard lots and lots of wonderful and great things about him. Almost too many. I thought nobody could be that good. After I met him I thought Okay, Maybe. I have only met him the one time on the day of my consultation. He was very thorough and made sure I understood exactly what it was he was going to do. Overall I was impressed. I don't know yet if he is as wonderful and great as everyone says. Lets save that for my next visit. Dr. Todd's office staff is the absolute best. Elizabeth really is a miracle worker and has never complained about how many times I have called her, I really do appreciate the fact that she can take a few minutes from her packed schedule and reassure me. THANK YOU GUYS!! Well I got to meet Dr. Todd again and he really is a wonderful and caring man. He makes you feel very comfortable, very honest, nonjudgemental and just a generally good guy. So guess what? He really is all that!!

Dr. Todd is a gift from the heavens. We are so fortunate to
have him in Anchorage. He is warm, caring and attentive. I
would highly recommend him to anyone. Dr. Todd's office staff
is terrific as well! They work together like a team and care for
with true kindness nad respect. I am so thankful to have found
such an endearing bunch of people to walk me through WLS.The staff
is always available to help with pre and post-op questions and
concerns. I feel comfortable calling with those nagging questions
because I know I will be treated with care and respect. All patients
are supported as well with regularly scheduled support group meetings
and opportunities to post on the internet message board. Dr. Todd
and his staff attend meetings and post on the board. The aftercare
program is very supportive, but can only be as successful as the energy
you out into it for yourself. There's a great team to help you on the road
to your new life. At every meeting and appointment, my husband and I had
long lists of questions, which were always answered thoughtfully, patiently
and carefully. We honsetly don't have any negative thing to say - our experience
was excellent, from our first visit in January until now- 17 days post op.
