My very first impression of Dr.Goldblatt was very good. He is a very kind man and very understanding. He went over all the pros and cons with me and asked me many times to please ask any questions i have and to make sure if i go home and have any to call the office and they will make sure they are answered. overall he is a really nice person.
Dr Goldblatt performed my lap band proceedure along with Dr. Dock (who is actually my surgeon of record). I personally think that Dr. Goldblatt is a very knowledgeable and capable surgeon and I thought that his bedside manner was one of understanding and patience. Would I recommend him? Without reservation - yes.
I wanted to post this before my surgery. I think I have a GREAT surgeon. He did his own oriention, comes to support meetings and was very detailed about procedures. I don't feel as though he pushed one surgery over the next. He asked what where my thoughts, reviewed risks and benefits of each and finally approved the Lap Band I was hoping to get.rnrnI had to call him a few times before WLS, and each and every time he returned my calls and patiently let me ask a ton of questions. He always returned calls usually within 3hrs. rnrnI did have fears and concerns of not knowing what to expect from a “Military Doctor”, but my apprehensions has been calmed. His team is wonderful. They are functional and straight to the point. They have been proactive with my care. rnrnHospital is not as \"pretty\" as most, and some staff have a military type personality (not real bubbly, I guess), but what counts to me is knowing that my surgery team is qualified, experienced and skilled. rnrn ***POST-OP*****rnrn28 Sept 07, Dr. Goldblatt is AWESOME! His pre -op demeanor was the same before, during and after my surgery. He took time out to come to my room when heard I still had questions, called my family to let them I was ok! There's just too much to list, he is a GREAT surgeon!rnrnMy hospital stay was also top notch, Every team member introduced themselves, explained what they where doing, and etc., I was fourtunate to have the team I had!rnrnrn
I do think I have the best Doc in the Air Force right now. He listens to everything I have to say. If I'm having problems he does everything he can to figure it out. I had some blood work done yesterday (early) and by 3:30 that afternoon he called me to say that everything was fine. While I was talking to him he suggested I stop taking my Pre-Natal vitamin to see if it helped my pain go away until I can get in for my ultrasound. rnIf I call in with a question and he doesn't have time durning the day to call me he will even call me later in the evening to help me out. rnHe actually takes the time to know his patients and know what is going on. I've even said I would like to take him with me when we leave. I'm sure I will never find another doc that listens like he does.
