I had my surgery December 4th. Dr. Estakhri was totally amazing. Not only did she give me confidence in this surgery but all the things my regular doctor had to say about her is so true. She truly is an awesome surgeon and expertise on WLS. I've had 3 previous surgeries by other doctors and this was the first surgery where Dr. Estakhri actually talked to me just before they were going to put me out. She asked how I was feeling and I told her that I was feeling great and her comment was "So am I". That was totally comforting to me. Thank you Dr. Estakhri, you are an amazing, wonderful person and doctor. I will always be very grateful to you, for helping me get my health back. Christine

From the moment I met Dr. Estakri she was so supportive and showed that she really cared, from our first appt she taught me so much that i was so excited to get started right away, her program is amazing and everything is with one on one with her and her team, I have been to other Doctor's but she was the one that excelled with my expectations and I loved the fact that every time I went to her office it was one on one with her only, with other doctors that I had taken into consideration they wouldn't meet up with their patient till the last appt before surgery, Dr. Estakri was amazing with whole process and I never had any sorts of pain or any discomfort, her classes and hints about hospital stay was excellent it made my stay there very comfortable and her office staff is amazing and so professional and friendly I recommend Dr. Estakri 100%, working with her on my health is the best decision I ever made...

Dr Estakhri is truely the best in the business! Caring, thoughtful, her expertise, and patience! I only wish she was also a PCP so I can use her for all my concerns.

The Bariatric Clinic at Valley Care is excellent. They have 10 classes before the surgery to prepare you for the physical and psychological changes. The office staff is really friendly and supportive, especially Deanna. She actually remembers everyone, even over the phone. Dr. Estakhri is very polite and knowledgeable, not judgmental at all. I know I was worried about that a little, from a doctor. I had been a yo yo dieter and could never get past 30 pounds. She explained why that happens to people. She was right there bright and early the next morning after the surgery. Her office staff is different from the clinic staff. Just stay on their good side. One person in particular is nice but can have an attitude. Just be nice all the time and she'll be really helpful.

'Dr. Estakhri has only spoken to me on the phone when she had to discuss why I could not have the lapband. I've been working primarily with her partner

I've had a great experience with Dr. Estakhri. She was very informative during my pre-op appointments. The post-op care was minimal since I had no issues; just monitoring of labs with brief exams through the first 18 months.

The education/support groups at ValleyCare are wonderful. I atended al the pre-op nutrition classes and contnue to attend post-op meetings twice a month.

The only area that they could improve is by adding some on-line information for post-op treatment by non-affiliated doctors. I spent three days in another hospital that didn't have a weight loss surgery program after a allergic reaction. Trying to educate a doctor and nutritionist while in intensive care was very difficult. They thought I needed a liquid diet two years post-op.
